Ever since I changed cl_interp to 0.0152, whenever I connect to some servers my ping will start spiking. Is this a server problem or a network problem? Can anyone help me?

Ever since I changed cl_interp to 0.0152, whenever I connect to some servers my ping will start spiking. Is this a server problem or a network problem? Can anyone help me?
ToastyTHTcl_interp 0 will adjust you to the best interp for you. (Correct me if I am wrong please tf.tv)
Actually it will put the interp to the lowest value allowed, which is usually 0.0152 if the server has it set higher, then that will be what the interp is set at.
