I was wondering how many of you use mouse accel or have tried it? And what your thoughts on it are.
Recently I have started using it for the second time, and I am loving it. The only drawback so far is that I require slight warm up every time in order to "calibrate" my aim.

I liked it when I tried it yet i used the ingame accel which got weird if your fps drops. Would've kept on using it otherwise.

If you're playing hitscan, it can be kind of cool if you get used to it enough, but I'd imagine it would turn into a nightmare for a Soldier trying to rocket jump.

i use mouse accel. it's fine. though my base sens is really low and my accel constant is really low

Used it in quake and liked it. TF2 accel was always wonky for me so I decided to stop using it.

I use it. I started playing on it before I knew there was an alternative. I find no reason to switch away from it, works fine.
I've heard your aim can vary slightly depending on your fps if you have accel on. Anyone know if there's truth to this claim? I've just capped my fps at 133, so it's constant for me and not a big deal. Just curious.

I use accel in every fps I play. It's so much fun and accel always feels really comfortable and aiming seems "fluid". The accel in tf2 is garbage though. You should try something like this http://accel.drok-radnik.com/ where the accel isn't dependent on fps. It also gives you the option of offset/cap which can be useful for some people.

I don't personally use accel right now but the few times I've experimented with it I really liked using a relatively high offset value and a very low sens (20"/360+), the accel would basically kick in on moderately fast flicks, it makes using a mouse like the 3.0 possible at a low sens without having to worry about negative accel.

I thought I heard they fixed the issue with TF2 accel using your fps. At least I haven't noticed any issues with fps, but mine are pretty stable.

if you want valve to pay attention to mouse accel sucking in their engine then respond to this post

you don't need to say much, just something like "this happens to me in <game> on <OS>"
