I've played Terraria since release, and it's by far my favorite indie game. What makes this update even bigger then it already is that Terraria was to supposed to be a dead game, explained here: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/02/22/terraria-dev-time-to-move-on-fans-nooooooo/ . None of the active players ever expected a new update, only a hope for the release of Starbound, a project that Terraria Devs were working on.

I've gotten a chance to play 1.2, and it's the same game, but it feels so different. Audio, gameplay, items, mobs, and the list goes on. Can't wait for the experiences to come.

Been playing it with friends for the last two days, and expect to keep doing so for a while. It's a great game, and the update makes it feel new and fresh again ^^

My favorite part of the update is opening chests now causes me to take a random item from the chest and then I don't realize and then it turns into a giant mess. Also enjoying having to go in and out of fullscreen to use 800x600

Did you make a new map? A lot has changed block generation wise, felt almost entirely different to me replaying it.

I haven't played Terraria since the 1.1 update. This new update is amazing.

Haven't finished playing, but it seems the update didn't go beyond hardmode as much as I had expected. It is still great though, plus, I believe there is now a program to host terraria servers, you no longer have to host the game and open ports.

There was always a server that came with the original download. Instead of play and host, you would join after launching the server.exe, and anyone rlse could join if there was a hamachi group. However hamachi is terrible, and I was too lazy to look into other methods

Well the hamachi thing worked well enough, I hope that this new server tool works just as well or even better.

I started playing at the beginning of this year, but kind of stopped after a while. Super excited to get back to it though! Think I'll have to wait until autumn break to really spend some decent time playing, but from what I've seen it'll be worth it!
