The ping might not be that good , but there is a WA server that is able to link aus players with asian players with decent ping.

can we get somebody like yuki whos played/spectated both sides to say whether or not they will be good games?

back when I was getting good latency to singapore, myself and a mix team of prem/div2 players from Western Australia played in AFC6 Div1 and got 2nd (to yuki's team) without scrimming once

i think the asian scene has some really good individual players but i would be surprised if the games with iM were close at all

FTR - snowblind is referring to the team I was playing on in Asiafortress for a few seasons: LSD.

Personally, I don't think it'd be worth it - for players or spectators. I doubt all the players on KS would get good routing to WA, and in the end it turns out to be imbalanced in terms of latency.

I also don't think it'd be close, so going to the effort of sorting something out like this and hoping for an entertaining game is wishful thinking.

Coupled with these two points, I doubt I could find the enthusiasm from my team (more specifically, those with godawful routing) to get something like this organised.

I can assure you, as a Australian, do not under-estimate the retardness of Australian routing. Sometimes my packets to Melbourne (1 state away) will get routed through to Adelaide (imagine you want to play on a NY server and you're in NJ but your packet does a round trip to Houston first).

International routing is an even bigger joke.

how about you throw 6 div 1 players from each side into a draft and have some kinda fun intramural allstar game if you guys wanna see asia/oz action that badly

or for the sour asians that -fragged me throw some money down and prove all of us how wrong we are for thinking oz would take it easily

All jokes aside, whilst I would like to see something like this, it will most likely be decided by the server it's played on. Similiar to the showmatches between NA and EU.

Here in South America, when I want to play in a Chilean or Argentinean server, my ISP sends my packets to USA and then to Chile/Argentina, so I get 300+ ping, meanwhile Argentineans and Chileans can play in Brazilian servers with 50~80 ping.

So you actually get better ping playing on NA servers?o_O

I get 30 ping to German servers and 50 ping to English servers. Sweden man...
