Fuck chemistry because i hate it.
Just needed somewhere to say that other than to my dad

im taking chemistry for the 3rd time this semester, you're not alone bud
i confess that i have never taken a chem class in my life
AP Chem is eating at me. I understand you so much.
I almost failed orgo. And I didn't even take orgo. Why can't professors stay within the curriculum?
Freshman chemical engineer here.
Pour your rage down upon me.
I just dont understand how it's fair for my teacher to assign a quiz every class for 5 classes then teach a lesson in 50 minutes and assign a quiz the next class without taking up the work? Like I'm sorry, but i actually have better things to do in my life than learn how to name fucking ferrous sulphide!!!!! (5 exclamation marks emphasize my frustration)
Yeah, fuck chemistry. While my friends were getting raped by real science classes, I was having fun taking Geology and Astronomy lol.
i had a quiz every class for like 10 weeks straight in chinese 3 :(
I took Chemistry when I was a Sophomore in high school. Now I have to take an expanded version of general Chemistry. I'm now a Sophomore in college.
F.
halp any ap chemistry tips im not even supposed to be in ap eeeeeeee
The two chem courses I had to take in first year university were even less in-depth than what I did in highschool, so no complaints from me. Never have to take any more, either.
The only thing I learned was "TRIGONAR PRANAR, IS LIKE A MERCEDES."
Ask me chemistry questions. I will help you.
Also I should say that taking chemistry is important because I believe we should strive for a society where people are versed in basic science and scientific principles.
How can people make informed decisions about things if they dont understand the basic underlying principles?
I took 1 year of Honors Chem in high school and 1 year of AP Chem. Got a 5 on the AP test even though I fell asleep during it.
Point is though, at this time of year you're doing the worst of it. You can't exactly get through the rest of it until you know the names and formulas of certain compounds. Yes, even orbital notation is important to know for much more advanced chem (stuff they probably won't cover in high school chem). It's the most boring stuff, but you can't get to the good stuff without having to go through it.
You can't judge the rest of the class based on how it is now, because if you decide you hate it now, you won't be able to make it to the point where you walk into lab and the teacher hands you a beaker of sulfuric acid, shows you the scar he got from spilling it on himself in lab as a college freshman, and then asks you to react it in such a way that you don't kill yourself in the process.
Ask me for help, took general last year, first semester of organic. I'm a volunteer chem tutor, so feel free to yell at me
waefwaefTrekkie teach me reaction prediction.
you mean looking at 2 reactants and figuring out what the products will be? Give me some example questions and i will show you how to do it.
tried taking AP chem as a senior, gave up.
FUCK I REGRET DROPPING IT SO MUCH IT WOULD HAVE EXEMPT ME FROM SO MANY COURSES AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
frknI almost failed orgo. And I didn't even take orgo. Why can't professors stay within the curriculum?
chem135? Fuck chem135.
my teacher literally doesn't teach at all and we all have to self study, any tipzzzz
Today's mole day, 6.022x10^23! Don't hate on Chemistry's most celebrated day!
Basic/AP Chem was literally the easiest class at school I don't know how you guys are capable of failing it. Literally spent my time in that class reading fun facts in the textbook because the same lecture was generally repeated 3 times before actually learning anything new.
I heard O-Chem is awful though because of all the memorization. Still, AP Chem is a joke.
lolsmazmy teacher literally doesn't teach at all and we all have to self study, any tipzzzz
Literally just read the textbook examples thats all you need to survive chemistry.
In fact reading any decent textbook will help you.
Also I can help people to some degree with organic chemistry, everyone tells me it was hard but I swear I got like a 95 something when I did that shit.
