Just wondering, are there any configs that have shittier graphics than maxframes?
Because I don't wanna play on a constant 40 fps.

With all due respects, 40 fps on maxframes is a pretty good indicator to just buy some new hardware.

Lower your resolution if you haven't already, put it on dx81

Which one is better for fps? dx80 or dx81?

I know there are some commands from m0re's fps config that aren't in chris' fps cfgs. Not sure if they could provide you with more fps but you should give it a shot.

I'll probably post the parts that aren't included in chris' fps cfgs when I get time so if you're too lazy to copy everything from m0re's frames over then you might want to wait.

Not sure, but as the others have suggested, lower your resolution and make your dxlevel 81.

If after getting maxframes and making dx 81 then yeah, as someone said it's probably a good indicator to get a new computer. If you're still running at 40 fps chances are it's not really made for playing anything like tf2 so you'll burn through it quickly enough. Just watch out

There is a mixture of m0re fps and maxframes.
Try these:

Not sure if this is going to help fps that much, but try this computer cleaner http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

Absolute bare-bones tf2 I played with which got me 66 fps in 32 man pubs once upon a time:

640x480 resolution
MaxFrames
surfaceproperties.txt
NoHats Mod
hl2.exe priority set to above-normal
Windows Aero/Steam community/other programs turned off

Resolution has a huge impact on fps if you have a bad gpu, so maybe you should try lowering that first.
