I tried to review a POV with a friend, but everytime the demo takes the opening sticky jump, my game crashes. I thought it was weird, and was wondering if anybody else had that problem.

I tried to review a POV with a friend, but everytime the demo takes the opening sticky jump, my game crashes. I thought it was weird, and was wondering if anybody else had that problem.
If it's crashing when you skip ticks try putting mat_queue_mode 0 in console

Tried that and it didn't work.
I have figured out that it's only his demos and none of mine. I haven't tried any POVs other than mine and his.

I have similar problem whenever I try to watch pov of one of my teammates. It is just crashing after specific tick. This occurs only when I watch his demos, I can watch other players demos without any problems.

it might be a HUD conflict. i used to encounter a similar problem on A/D maps (specifically gravelpit) when using a specific HUD. the setup timer would reach zero and my game would crash instantly. had to install a new HUD.
you may be encountering a similar issue. or the demo file might be corrupted. can you skip to tick past that tick? i.e. if you crash at tick 100, skip to 200 and see if it works / plays.

I cant skip, and the file isnt corrupt since he watches it, uploads it, then i try it and it doesnt work.

I am having the same problem viewing my demo's. After a second of the demo playing my game crashes. is their any fix/solution?

Bumping, anytime I view a pov demo of a demoman the game hard crashes with no error message the instant he dets his first sticky. Any ideas as to what the problem is?

Did anyone every find a fix for this? Whenever I try to playback a demo, if I am a projectile class and as soon as I shoot my first rocket/sticky, it just crashes.

Necroing to say I ran into this watching dingo's LHTF2 lan demos. If anyone else runs into this it fixed for me when I swapped from ahud to broeselhud. Odd.

kaidus mentioned, on stream, some program that he used to "fix" old demos, if anyone can post the link here it might solve future headaches. I had a quick look for it myself and couldn't find anything.

I believe the program referenced by number 5 in this document is what he was using: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1v96FmpiOn__WLnygQnrW8Mr1wpIwIJvqdhkvjCpdVaY/edit. iirc pazer was the one who made the fix for corrupt i63 demos also, so it is probably what kaidus was using.
