I'm pinging 160 to Dallas and 120 to Chicago...

It's also not just NFO servers, I checked esea servers and a few random pubs... Is it safe to say it is my ISP? Any ideas on fixing this?

How long has this problem been happening? And have you ever gone back to your original ping since this issue happened?

if you have shaw just get a new ISP. even when shaw is working properly telus DSL destroys it in terms of latency and jitter. also fuck shaw customer service and they will try to bill you for an extra month upon cancellation (its 10 days before your next billing cycle, you are forced to pay it so you can have shit cable for 40 days after cancellation!)

#6 can confirm, Tes had 110 ping during scrims last night. Tech support said 'IDK LOL'. One of the best things about saskatchewan is the Fiber from SaskTel.

Had to stop playing soldier because my isp has been kindly giving me 40-50 more ping during peak hours for the past 2 months. Just wait and hope, your isp isn't going to listen to you.

find your ISP there and make a post with all of your relevant information, including any tracert information you have already gathered. I had an issue with frequent, intermittent dropping and after literally 10+ "techs" coming out and having no idea what to do, I made a post in my ISP's specific subforum in the aforementioned link and BLAM; 3 techs came out the day after and worked from the inside out, then I got 3 months free. no problems since then.

good luck

Sometimes an ISP will send you through a cleanup hop if you're getting a lot of drops and high packet loss. This can help with those issues but add an automatic 30-40 ping. I would call and find out what's going on.

The problem resolved its self over time, but I tried contacting customer service and like many people here, they were little to no help.
