hey if anybody wants a hide hud bind that works on any server, send me a message. i don't want it to get bugfixed
there is a slight delay, but it doesn't really affect anything
jumping without viewmodels/a hud really is nice. speedshots are suddenly easy
edit - fair points:
alias cl_hud_hide "cl_hud_hide_1"
alias cl_hud_hide_1 "+score; hud_reloadscheme; alias cl_hud_hide cl_hud_hide_2"
alias cl_hud_hide_2 "+score; -score; alias cl_hud_hide cl_hud_hide_1"
bind yourkey cl_hud_hide
my implementation at least, you could add a toggle for mp_tournament and closedcaptions if you wanted
note: calling hud_reloadscheme too often can and will crash your game

Just reload your hud when you've got your scoreboard up.

it doesnt seem like thatd be a bug, just setting the hud stuff to 0 or whatever the value is

Hitting a button bound to hud_reloadscheme while having your scoreboard up has made the HUD disappear for as long as I can remember; at least as early as when I first started making my HUD last August.
While it might be a minor glitch/bug, I don't really think that it's game-breaking in any sense; if anything it's fun to play in "frag video" mode every once in awhile. If they took it out I doubt most people would even notice, but it would make me a little sad on the inside.
It's nice for surfing, too.

Why would it get bug-fixed if it's not advantageous in normal gameplay in any way?

I haven't tested it, but assuming it sets cl_drawhud to 0 (or simulates it), then it would effectively hide the Sniper's zoom overlay, giving the Sniper more visibility when scoped, similar to the noborder zoom script posted on natf2 a while back.
Edit: Dash says it doesn't, so hopefully Valve can work on fixing invisible players instead.

the scoreboard hides elements such as health/ammo/meters/chat but when you do a hud_reloadscheme the scoreboard doesn't display, but the game thinks it's active (i'm guessing) hence why the elements are hidden
