hey, the term e-sport is reserved for league of legends, thanks
GrImpartialHas anyone communicated with cevo yet? If people live up to what they say they're doing, cevo will be huge next season. I don't think one division would cut it.
Read Nahanni's post.
Read Nahanni's post.
I truly believe that Nahanni has it under control. I have a huge respect for her and her work for the community, and she would never say that CEVO is committed to our community if they weren't. Can't wait to see CEVO shine next season.
literally the only argument for ESEA at this point is LAN. And I don't think it's a very good argument anymore. We are brushing aside some really really shady shit from ESEA over and over. There is drama season after season involving the admins. The community sinks thousands to ship players to Dallas because there are no sponsors. We are paying a VERY steep price just to stay in ESEA because there is a LAN. But honestly, how many more times do we need to see plat's team vs. b4nny's team in the grand finals in Dallas?

LAN's have resulted in a 1-2 finish grand final of Plat's team vs. b4nny's team. This season we had a potential competitor in watch this, and the team was killed before the season even started based on the league admin's decision. lpkane will state over and over how much he does not give a fuck about tf2, and the league admins who should care about tf2 are fucking up the invite division over and over with terrible judgement calls. The client causes us to reschedule far too many matches, and doesn't ever catch a hacker, and was apparently doing shit much shadier than any of us imagined until the bitcoin shit was exposed.
If you want a LAN that badly, we can always keep sending our squad(s) to i-series. I like the idea of a LAN final, but we need to fucking move on and maybe one day we can have a LAN that's actually worth going to.

seanbudThis season we had a potential competitor in watch this, and the team was killed before the season even started based on the league admin's decision...
I understand the decision made by the admins was not the most lenient, but it's not completely their fault. As much as registration was pushed out, how does it take that long to get 6 players paid?
Aside from that, I believe our team will join CEVO next season as well.

this has been rehashed over and over, and we even did a fully charged about it. Yes I know watch this was probably equally at fault but in their defense they probably didn't expect such a moronic judgement call from the admins(which is what the final decision was based on.) And they shouldn't have. The league admins should have the best interests of the league and game at heart. They basically made the invite division a 2-horse race this season(even more so than in past seasons), and since there is nothing else going on for 6's tf2, there was no other platform for watch this to play and potentially beat mix/iT.

radiumCaspianBerethCEVO's forfeiting policy is pretty bad from my understanding.
Not really. If you don't respond to a match proposal then you forfeit. 90% of the games this season have been forfeits though so it does look pretty bad.
Also not every team is going to switch to CEVO. So all this is going to do is split the community. GG.
Not really, I can see a number of teams - mine included - that will multi-league next season.
Its almost impossible to make time for it if you want to be "multi-league". I asked teams to join CEVO this current season and none of them wanted to add another match to their schedule.
BenkPretty easy solution. If you're on a team, get your team to switch to cevo.
wow amazing it really works
My team is in cevo lol. It has not been anywhere close to the enjoyment of playing esea.

That means nothing. This season, CEVO had fewer teams than any of the divisions in UGC. Of course it hasn't been as enjoyable because no other teams took part in it. I don't know if you're blind or ignorant, but two things lead me to believe you are both:
1) You appear to want to remain with E$EA (lol)
2) You seem to think that CEVO this season (with 7 teams) will be the exact same next season (when it's pretty clear that a LOT of teams, and well established ones, no less, will be moving to CEVO)

Any way that CEVO could work directly work with .ss and logs developers in implimenting a stats system.
I have a for-fun roster in CEVO right now. It has been a good amount of fun. Working with paladin has been a breeze. And its been nice being able to communicate and talk with teams I haven't ever played against.
I will have a for-kicking-ass roster in CEVO next season. See you there.

Any idea how divisions would work? Would it be the same as ESEA with teams being placed in their respective divs based on esea s15 performance?
I realize this is largely based on how many teams will sign up but assuming every team in esea right now would make the move how would you guys handle it?
Either way I'm all for a new league next season. See you guys in CEVO

From CEVO has said, I think they would basically bring the divisions over as is to the extent possible.
