I've been using the TF2mate crosshair switcher for some time now and only now realized that switching weapons no longer changes the interp. Attempting to switch interp with cross hairs gives me this error in console:
"Can't change cl_interp when playing, disconnect from the server or switch team to spectators"
I am assuming this has to do with the Interp Toggle Exploit that was found some months ago (http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/8712/1). Is there any way to change interp when switching between shotgun and rocketlauncher, or is it a single interp per class now? What am I missing here?

Yeah you can't change interp between weapons now, only between servers and classes (I think you have to go spec and then back though, not positive on that)

isn't that pretty clearly an exploit?
it kind of sucks for projectile classes like soldier or demoman since your melee weapon is hitscan but my recommendation would just be to bite the bullet and set the interp for the primary weapon

This isn't true, just bind one key to
"toggle cl_interp 0.0152 0.0303"
(or whatever you want to toggle between.)
and press it whenever you're dead or even, if you're fast enough, in between classes when switching in spawns.

So can I put cl_interp #### in a class.cfg and it have it switch based on the class automatically? I've been using 0.1 interp for all classes until now (dumb, I know) and recently realized that having good interp settings would help me go from being a bad scout to a mediocre scout.

no, unfortunately not. you need to do the method i outlined above to switch interp, having it in a class config no longer works for whatever reason. the method above is fine though, you can toggle between however many values you like.

having different interps in different class configs definitely does still work, you just cant have them for separate weapons like rocket launcher/shotgun

really? I've had them in there for forever and it stopped working when they patched the exploit and never started working again, even after the patch that let you change while dead. wonder why it doesn't work for me...
