No offense to him, but I don't get the impression someone would hack for numbers like these.
Actually those are exactly the kinds of numbers I would expect from a hacker to have on client. Off client is a different story.

No, but somebody did. If the item was bought ever. All keys had to be bought by someone, but not the same person.

I made my statement because I find it surprising that someone would spend 100$ on keys. I capitalized bought because I wanted to highlight that I find the notion of buying that many keys a bit absurd.

being friends with lord droll is worse than hacking
btw if the hack that's used is extremely common (public hacks) the delay is only a few hours

can you prove your statement? Where did you hear about that?

I've read about it a few times, people that download public hacks and than get banned the same day that they use it. There isn't really that much of a reason to delay the kind of hacks you can get by searching google for "tf2 hacks" because the people that use them aren't going to be using other things that VAC isn't catching. So they just ban those type of hacks right away because they aren't serious hackers, usually just kids that wanna hack or it is somebody trying to get an account VAC banned.
IDK how common it is and these were things I read/researched at least a year ago. But I know it's happened in the past and it wouldn't make much sense to delay a hack that is easy to get and is really common, imo.

Ok ok, but as DJC stated STV's aren't VAC secured, so you wouldn't have gotten vac banned for using it in an STV....

Scott has never been the one to do anything off the board. He's been around in the tf2 comp scene for a long time, and has always had good rep.
For as long as I've known him, he's been a chill guy, and never made me think otherwise. I'm sure he has a completely viable explanation for what happened.

I'm going to post a timeline of events to help clarify:
1. I used the wallhack in a private server, with the intent to provide viewers of matches with more information.
2. Deleted the hack, forgot about it, and moved on playing TF2 for about a month.
3. Log into account few days ago, notice that a lot of items are gone!
4. Notice that some items are still there... weird I think
5. Attempt to join off of friend, to cool off after losing my items from a "hacker" (as I just assumed).
6. Get in game notice that says my account is VAC Banned
7. Disconnect and Quit tf2
8. Log into previously made Idle Account, (previously paid for)
9. Log into TeamFortress.tv
10. Post thread that my account was hacked
11. Get accused by the community of hacking
12. Go to Steam Support regarding my account being hacked.
13. Read post on Steam Support that says that When VAC banned you lose TF2 items that are non-purchased
14. Go to readd old friends on Steam on new account
15. Go to add Psychotropic
16. Remember events that occurred as described in Point #1 (because I was thinking of why I didn't lose certain items)
17. It hits me, and I remember that I did in fact use a wallhack, totally deserving the VAC Ban
It does sound fishy, I know, but it is the truth. You can choose to believe me if you want, but I understand that you have reasons to doubt me.

How many times do we have to say it. YOU DONT GET BANNED FOR WALLHACKS WHEN USED IN PRIVATE SERVER.
