Now, I'm not really sure where this site name came from, so this might've been an old intention of this website, but why not start a TF TV(videos) section. The first time I saw the name of the site it's what came right into my head.

The site has a pretty good format to fit it in I think, if a TV section was formatted similarly to the homepage with featured videos, and then a proper video browser lower down (sorted perhaps by class, news, or other type of video).

It could serve as a sort of continuation of what MGE used to be, having high-level demo reviews, class specific tips, as well as POV's with comms, general comp TF2 guides (Intro to comp video, push guides, etc.), and even casts.

A couple of people have stressed how important it is for centralized information if we want this community to grow, and I think a TF TV is a good way to compact a lot of information here in a way that makes it easy for people to see.

You can make your own custom video player via Flash, which will give let you read the video source from the page metadata I believe, so the setup for that would be simple. I'd be willing to help out with this is a project (sketching out the visual of how it works, infrastructure, or planning videos), and I'm sure there are editors and pros in the community who would be glad to help out.

Thoughts?

Great idea. Can be a tab up top like streams and forums. Feature the old MGE archive, perhaps a frag movie of the month or something, latest match vods.

Yeah, exactly. I mean, there is so many different kinds of videos useful to comp tf2, I think it would be great to have it all together in an organized manner, as well as have new MGE style content series.

i'd imagine it's on enigma's to-do list, but i believe he's working on getting the site fully functioning first before he starts adding extra-features. i'm sure we'll see it in the future though.

Demos are the current priority, but I'm working on a prototype for youtube embeded videos.
