my steam has been crashing out every couple hours for the past 2 or 3 days. It doesn't really matter what game i'm in as it's crashed while im in CIV5 Tf2 and CS:GO. It also gets stuck on "updating" every time for like 2-3 minutes when it relaunches.

it's been happening to me too, happens at least once a day. No idea why it does it, it's really annoying.

bump happening 4+ times a day now. It will kind of start working if I leave it alone for 2+ minutes but after that I will have near 1000 ping in any game untill I fully restart steam.

Try to delete ClientRegistry.blob in your steam folder, when my steam starts to go loco, I do that.

Tried deleting ClientRegistry.blob and it's still crashing a ton. Gonna try doing a full reinstall of steam, I won't need to redownload games correct?
Decided against completely reinstalling as I don't have the time/internet speeds to redownload like 50gb of games. I just tried leaving it after the last time it crashed and it would fix itself but i'd have 150-200+ ping to ANY server that i'd normally have sub 50 and it would log me out of steam.
and now im stuck in offline mode, I'm not having any problems with my internet outside of steam, not idea what could be causing this shit
