LangeAJAlso is this one match per week or two? There will be a vote to determine if it is one match per week or two.
I don't think I can support one match per week for an 8 week season. I don't think that's enough matches. IMO, it'll have to be 2 matches a week for 8 weeks, or one match per week but extend the season out to 10-12 weeks.
When will the vote be?

BuschmasterACRWhere will the match servers be located?
Currently we have LA, Dallas, Chicago and NY...if we need other locations in North America we can get them however these 4 locations should suffice to everyone

warmfront and airfield preseason maps; interesting choices.
My question is, how many weeks will badlands be played? If it's less than 3 I want a refund please.

In past seasons of cevo, one player out of a team of five would not have to use the paladin client if, for example, they had a mac. Will This rule still hold true for upcoming seasons?
Will the normal season's map list mirror the ESEA list, or will it include different maps?

Players who aren't logged into the Paladin match client, will not be allowed to participate in the match. We don't have MAC support at this time, but users are encouraged to use Boot Camp and run a Windows partition.

I almost forgot to ask about weapon bans.

Update: assuming all registered teams get 6 paying players; season 5 prize pot is at $3,000
Will the decision to keep/replace Coalplant be based on the ESEA map poll, or will a separate poll be done?

At the end of the registration period when we know exactly which teams will be competing, we are going to poll each team captain. This way we can make sure that only teams actually competing in the event are making decisions on the map pool.

Is there zero chance of multiple divisions being a thing, or will a large number of teams affect this?
It would probably be best just to ask people which division they want to play in at first, but I feel like having one giant open division with 5 awesome teams who didn't make Main and then a bunch of experienced ones, and the rest newer, inexperienced teams, will lead to a bad experience.
Again, if there aren't too many teams in open (less than 40?) it's not as much of an issue, but having a huge skill gap wouldn't be very cool.

At CEVO, it's our policy to always announce and guarantee our prize pools at the time that we open registration for a given event. In this case our budget for Season 4 was $2,000. Given this restriction, we felt that we wouldn't be able to stretch that $$$ over any more than 2 skill divisions.
If we end up with more teams than we were initially shooting for (~40), our community crowd funding is successful, and we're able to raise our Season 4 prize pools by a significant amount, we'd certainly be open to the idea of adding additional skill divisions this season.
Keep in mind that we've already committed all of the s4 league fees (Less PayPal costs) to the s5 prize pool, so even if our community crowd funding isn't successful, but we see a solid number of teams register for s4, we may very well be able to add additional skill divisions in s5.

Right now theres 37 teams on the list. Just with those teams, at 15 dollars a person X 6 people, thats 90 bucks in per team. With 37 teams so far, that's already a $3330 prizepot (not accounting for paypal fees and junk), already more for next season, and thats just on what...the second day of registration?
I'm gonna need shades, the future looks bright.

Not to say that there's not reason to be optimistic, but the same thing happens in ESEA every season. A ton of teams sign up early in registration and then drop out as people realize that they dont want to pay or dont have a full team who will pay. More teams will join, but I don't think that CEVO will see this explosion of growth continue at anything close to the same rate, and it may even fall back to earth as registration moves forward.

off topic, but how many seasons did CEVO pass through the first time around?
RaedynHow's that PayPal option coming along guys?
There is a small issue with our PayPal merchant account connecting to their API that the PayPal support team is looking into as we speak. They tell us it should be resolved in ~24 hours and it wont take us very long at all to hook it up after they get back to us. I'm hoping that we'll be able to enable that feature and the ability to easily pay for additional team members by tomorrow at the latest.

This doesn't have to do with the next season but I just want to say the website is a breeze to navigate when compared to esea's for example, great work on that.
Just noticed 2 things, the seasons sub menu is a bit hidden and out of view for what should be one of the more noticeable menus. Also when opening certain brackets pages, the page gets really stretched out and deformed.
