its actually mind boggling how cevo managed to create a worse website than both etf2l and esea

I cant speak for cuties but we are taking it very casual and the majority of us plan to off class. Just wanna have fun with some friends kinda deal.

I never used the website before and I was able to quickly find everything I wanted, I would call that a good website at the very least, maybe the issues with it would be the color scheme and the top navigation bar. Etf2l website is a simple wordpress site so its usability is not the problem, the problem is the outdated look.

As for the esea website, everytime I tried to access something on it (and I have been there quite some times) I found it a real pain as it lacks a lot both in usability and looks.

One more question, is it possible for one person to pay for the rest of the team? Aka one person use their paypal and pay $90 and then the team is paid off? Or does every player have to pay individually?

There will be. Hopefully by the end of the week. Like I mentioned in a post above, we're just waiting for PayPal to fix a small problem on their end, and then we'll release the ability to pay with PayPal and the ability to pay for others. To answer your question direction, you will be able to pay for everyone on your roster with one payment if you prefer.

They said they'll make it if the demand is there, but right now it's not worth it.

if you want a Linux client, find a bunch of linux users who want to play in cevo and show them that it's a viable thing to do! Same goes with mac. The possible cheats on other systems aren't the same ones that are on Windows, so they need to see that there's a decent demand for it. I wish that any anticheat league could have more people on more systems, but its just not viable for them to make it for a handful of people. It's the same reason ESEA doesn't have one, but I bet that CEVO would do it for a smaller audience then they would.

Very important. Although I believe they said there will be a team captain vote for maps(? maybe it was something else), so perhaps items could be in there too.

I realize the site's just getting updated with everything, but I failed to find anything about gameplay rules etc. When can we expect an official rule listing like UGC's or ESEA's? jw cos I think it would save a lot of Q&A back and forth and it's an easier way for everyone to know what to expect, especially for those teams who still aren't sure what they're doing.

mostly concerned with: weapon ban list, server/client usage, scheduling/rescheduling/reporting scores

I just hope the ban list doesn't turn into a copy of ESEAs. Quick-Fix didn't help B&W during the finals and it certainly didn't stalemate the game, iT easily countered it with Kritz constantly. Plus apparently the Conch is banned in ESEA now? I'd like to see a league where (non game breaking) items actually get used and figured out.

B&W also wasn't Brad's serious roster meant to take on the top teams in NA. There was a definite skill difference in the game if you watched the finals. Getting double 5-0'd isn't exactly a balanced game.

We only didn't run quickfix because we decided it would be best to play solid how we normally play, rather then to try and play a different style. Quickfix takes good coordination and requires your team to play differently. But when you do that, it becomes clear that quickfix becomes better than kritz and uber in most situations and at the high levels becomes SUPER stalematey.

Yes, we just released a quick update to the site that allows you to pay with PayPal. We'll be releasing another update over the weekend that allows you to pay for multiple team members in one transaction, but for now you can still pay for teammates without logging out of your own account from the roster page.

We've also released our crowdfunding functionality allowing players/fans to directly increase the prize pools of the game of their choice via donation. 100% of any donations will go directly to the prize pools and you can keep track of the TF2 pot at http://cevo.com/event/tf2-6v6/?tg=80. Well, to clear things up, I do in fact play some 6v6, but causally. I don't play in ESEA or CEVO because neither have a linux client. I have a fairly good impression of how the game works, but don't claim to know more then players on a higher level then me, which is certainly why I didn't try to counter any of shruggers points. My opinion is only my opinion, no one is forced to share it nore hold it to any standard except as a random post on the internet.
