Just wondering your guys input on the original vs the stock RL
i fell in love with the original, and the sound, probably because i like
the quake one, also i find it easier to rocket jump, was wondering if we could discuss
possible pros and cons of both RLs?
what do you like or dislike about each weapon? which do you use?
:) thanks!!

Which one is "better" depends on the map. Some maps have chokes where it help to have the stock, others have chokes which the stock hurts.
It's so negligible, though, that it's not at all worth picking on over the other.
I use stock, just because that's what I started with. It's preference really

I use stock because I don't like the sound of the original.
Other then that they're the same to me. I rocketjump/airshot/spam the same. No difference.

One shoots from the center the other from the right. Just choose what you like.

It is preference. I use the original but I think that rjing is much easier with the stock. But honestly it doesnt matter at all

Someone should change the Original skin to be seagull feet so we can cawcaw.

when you lose your loadout you will be use to the stock. and the orginal firing sound can be harder to hear imo.
but yeah it's preference really

I disagree with the statement "it's a preference." It's not a preference. I would dearly love to use my rocket launcher, since it's strange and my original is not, but I'm better at aiming and jumping with the original and there's nothing I can do about that.

preference should not be taken into consideration when discussing superiority
original
+accurate; allowing you to hit shots easier and shoot through tight areas
+symmetrical (jumps too)
+/-can shoot around both corners equally well
+/-jumping is just as powerful you just need to use a different technique
stock
-not accurate
-not symmetrical
-can't shoot around left corners without full exposure
+can shoot around right corners
clearly the original is superior because it is useful in more situations and anyone who says otherwise is an idiot. that being said I'll probably always use the stock just because I'm already good with it.

preference you want to level up your strange over trying to aim with a different RL, okay

After I miss all my shots with one and die I switch to the other
On a more serious note, I use stock more often because if you ever feel like using other soldier primaries they all aim from the right like that

anyone who's spent any time at all using both will tell you jumping is not as powerful. jumping with the original is slower because the explosion is further away from you.

Neither is better, i change between them weekly.

I'd love to use the original since aiming is easier for me when the rockets are coming out of the middle but since all the other rocket launchers have it on the right I might as well use the stock. I wish there would be an option where you could set your viewmodels to left/right/middle instead of only left/right

here's a demo i've just recorded of me jumping from patio to spire fence on badlands(one of the hardest max distance jumps i know, if you know any harder jumps please share) with both launchers and I was equally successful with both.

You really can't say that the stock is "not accurate." You can consistently get your rockets to land where you want them to go. It might not be spot on with respect to the crosshair for close range shots, but if you develop a sense for the trend of the rocket, you can get it to go where you want just as much as with the Original.

please understand the difference between accuracy and precision

It is both accurate and precise. You can get it to go exactly where you want, and it will do so in a consistent manner.

With perfect play, there are certain maps/points where one is better than the other.
People aren't perfect, however, and take a while to get adjusted to things. Just stick with one and get good at aiming/jumping with it.
I personally use stock because I'm used to it and I play demo.

maybe you'd have less trouble understanding me if I told you the original is more accurate than the stock?

it would probably be better for your argument if you actually contextualized it to tf2 instead of linking to the wikipedia page
