Since there is still no thread about this, I just thought I'll let everyone know who didn't notice :D
So yeah, Steam started the "Steam Music Beta".
By joining this group you get the chance to be invited to the beta!
Also you find pretty much all necessary infos in the group.
Currently it works only in Big Picture Mode but will be implemented to the "normal" Steam Overlay ingame.
Invited users will receive an Email notification :)
Also you have to enable steam beta updates in your steam settings to be able to use it!

Remember that this is just a (kinda early) beta :)
For example you can vote for a audio format here ^^

Yeah I'm sure they'll add it soon. I wouldn't be able to listen to half of my music collection with just MP3 support though.

Yeah I'm sure they'll add it soon. I wouldn't be able to listen to half of my music collection with just MP3 support though.

MasterKuniNo FLAC, no go. Good concept though, I look forward to them adding more codec support.
It's nice that you enjoy high quality music but honestly you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between FLAC and 320k mp3 in a blind test.
