This definitely works, I got one and I'm downloading the client.
I'm not very optimistic about this game, but I can't say until I've at least tested it
It gets real exciting once you get into it. The beginning starts off slow and is pretty linear but after you are done with the starting area that's when the real fun starts. Massive game, so much to explore and so much to do. Really hope they fix the PvP aspect of the game this time round tho :/

Pretty much a WoW clone. I feel absolutely 0% Elder Scrolls flair. (Tbf oblivion and skyrim couldn't give me much more but still...)

first person FOV is disgusting uggg, is there anyway to change it? also when I switch from thirdperson to firstperson mode, my sensitivity changes from my normal sens to low sens, then back to normal when i go back into firstperson.

If there's no solution to your problems, then remember to post your suggestions in the appropriate place. This is what betas are for, not for "well, I'm playing it to see if it's going to be good". Probably my #1 disliked thing about most people and betas now.

I've never really understood why the phrase "WoW clone" exists considering WoW itself ripped the best stuff from EverQuest and made it better. It's like saying [enter moba here] is a League clone.
Besides, this game so far has set itself apart from lots of F2P MMO's that are considered WoW clones. Things as simple as cutscenes, moral choices, and quests that involve more than "go here, kill this many things, bring back some stuff." If WoW had all of that then I guess every MMO that tried to copy it did a fuckin' terrible job, because none of this shit is existent in any F2P MMO I've played.
Honestly, so far, the game seems pretty solid. The Elder Scrolls aspect of it isn't the best, but I'm pretty sure everybody's considering this game completely non-canon as far as lore goes, so I'm not surprised that they're just kinda using the basics (races, geography, the daedric princes, etc) as a launching pad for a story that's just totally disconnected from the rest of the lore. Although I was pretty surprised when somebody said "Thank the Eight" in one of the quests I did.
I just don't really see a reason to outright hate the game unless you were here for the lore and you really hate MMOs no matter what. As far as an MMO goes I think it's doing a decent job. The polish on the game goes a REALLY long way because it honestly just feels like I'm playing Skyrim except with more interesting class abilities and it's online. Combat's a little choppy sometimes, but overall it's pretty fluid as long as your connection is stable and the server isn't bogged down with users. There's a lot of little things too, like if you look at the quest marker it'll say what quest it's for and if it's on a higher or lower plane than you currently are. It's kickass. I have not gotten lost or felt intimidated by my surroundings at any point in the game so far.
Plus these guys know how to optimize. The fact that I can run this on my junkster laptop blows my mind. The low graphics options really improve performance. I love how they handle draw distance too. I don't know if this is standard, but you can see things from far away but they had super low LOD until they come within your draw distance. Lots of MMOs have draw distance options but some create, like, a stupid fog or something so you're just blind to everything outside of your draw distance. It's just a game breaker for people on low-end machines.
Idk, I'm getting nothing but good vibes from this game. I think they're doing a lot right.
That said, tbh though there's no point in playing this. It's already been one up'd.

Played a few characters to 5...
Despite the negative reviews I read, I like it. Combat is fun...interesting character building mechanics and the visuals are pretty nice. Feels like I'm playing an adventure game rather than a cookie cutter MMO. So ya, I'll play it for a month and then never touch it again, just like all the others. Heh

It's not going to be a F2P game. Sure its free right now while you can beta test it for a day or two at a time without anything being saved, but once the game comes out its going to be $15 a month. Honestly after playing the beta a bit with some friends and seeing the cost per month, theres no way im going to be playing ESO once it comes out

that's what the beta is for, to help the devs improve the game so that it's worth to consider playing @_@

A lot of the things people dislike about the game wont be fixed by implementing small changes in beta.

^ What's wrong with that?
But anyway, for anyone who cares now or in the future if they play this, there's a "hidden" (I guess?) chest before you fight the Sentinel.

All I got was a shield, a lock pick and gold. Not too bad, I guess.
It's not there on my screen because I opened it already, but it's there. trust me
also if anyone wants to play, add me. username: kirbytftv; char. name: caravann (not sure which you need). i also created a "TFTV" guild. dunno if anyone will want in, but pass me your name/add me in-game and i'll add you to the guild.

I've been playing since alpha because my buddy works for ZOS, and the improvements they've made in the last couple builds have been dramatic, really putting the finishing touches on a game that I feel holds some promise.
I think a lot of people go into the beta with certain, sometimes absurd, expectations of what the game ought to be. Online play simply prohibits some of what a single player TES game can do. The Elder Scrolls "feel" is hard to grasp in the initial zones, but it really starts to develop the more you play. I had the opportunity to hit 50 in one faction and 30 in the other two, and thoroughly enjoyed quests through each of them. Crafting is better than any MMO Ive played. I find the combat engaging, much more so than Skyrim, with opportunities for skill plays that aren't simply reliant on having 50+ keybinds. Roll dodging is extremely underutilized by most players, for example. The last thing this game is is a WoW clone. Its different in almost every conceivable way, from loot distribution to questing to art to combat to itemization to guilds to world interaction. Like virtually every way. Maybe a DAoC clone if anything.
The one thing that's sort of missing is the "crack", that thing that keeps players logged in all the time. Maybe that's because the server has been so low pop for most of my play time, and my endgame experience has been limited, but I still get the feeling something might be missing. Its hard to explain.
If anyone has any questions, I know the game fforward and back at this point. Hit me up on Steam. We should also all make a guild on release.

Yeah I feel pretty dumb. That part of my post is pretty much moot. I still maintain that this is far from a bad game, and my point about "WoW clones."
All of that said, if they keep that sub model... this game's gonna have a rough launch. It's good and everything but from what I've read it's 60 bucks + 15 bucks per month, with the first month being free. And you need to pay for the Imperial race. Like what the fuck. The point of sub models is so you don't have to deal with paying extra money for more content.
They really need to re-evaluate their monetary approach to this game. It's going to go the same route as Star Trek Online.
