Coverage
Welcome folks, this is going to be the first ever Highlander tournament of it's kind as 8 of the best teams from North American Highlander are coming together to raise funds for UGC, all live on TeamFortress.TV from 5pm EST; that being 11pm CET for us Euros or 7am AEST for those Kangaroo lovers down under. Bringing the stream coverage for you will be dash alongside the Queen of Highlander casting, Kip of KipTV fame joined on the microphone by Ryushi also known as The Teenage Admirable. These Highlander loving nutcases will be on stream all night to bring you the best possible coverage as we try to raise some nickels for our favourite Highlander team (well second favourite, I am a Wireplay boy myself). The introductions are over, lets have a look at the rules, maps, brackets and the seedings below:
Rules + Maps
So the tournament is going to be double elimination, just like the ZOWIE events of the past couple of months but with a slight twist as this is 9v9 mode baby and you got 4 different gamemodes to play. The first two rounds of the upper bracket plus the first round of the lower bracket will see slightly shorter matches due to time constraints. Therefore for Payload and Attack/Defence maps, we will only see a best of one round affair, until we reach the mid stages of the tournament (Upper Bracket Final + Lower Bracket round 2). Also King of the Hill maps will be best of 5 rounds throughout the tournament whilst the favoured 5 capture point maps will be timelimit 30, winlimit 5 throughout the event.
For the maps, leaders were asked to vote for their 7 favourite maps to play in the event. The ones that did selected 7 maps, which I have listed below:
- pl_badwater
- pl_upward
- cpprocessfinal
- kothproviaduct_rc4
- cpgullywashfinal1
- kothlakesidefinal
- cp_steel
For each game up until the final, it will be best of 1 map decided by each team through map elimination. The higher seed will decide who picks first and then both teams will eliminate 3 maps each in turn until one map is left, then the teams will play this map and the winner will progress with the loser knocked to the lower bracket. Teams will do the same right up until the Grand Final, giving each side a chance to eliminate something they do not feel strong on so we have the best possible match on the most even map for both sides. When the Grand Final comes along around 9.30 EST, it will be best of three maps with the upper bracket winner deciding the first map and then the loser of each map will decide the next one until we have a winner (the same as the Losers Pick system in ETF2L).

Rosters + Seedings
With various roster shuffles over the pre-season and some interesting results from Week 1 and 2 of UGC, our 8 teams remain unpredictable in nature. Just like my hero, mentor and rumoured lover Admirable, I went off to get some “expert” opinions on each participating squad of players, how they currently rank although the way the matches have been seeded have been based off of each side’s last 2 match results. I originally was looking for a panel of players to write some previews for me, however mustardoverlord wrote so much stuff, he did the work of 3 men (shame that can't be said of your Demoman skills 'ey?)
Below I have listed the 8 teams in order of seeding complete with reviews of their roster and how they're expected to do in the event.
Gentlemen’s Club
Seed: #1
Ahh, finally, a civilized club for the elite TF2 player to be apart from, away from the yeoman and simple folk. Gentlemen’s Club, captained by Black Box superstar turned Engineer Vhalin have a 100% start to the season, having been tipped as early contenders. This latest superteam has picked up the likes of Ruwin on Demoman, the experienced Arthur and Pudding Cup on Heavy and Pyro respectively alongside superstar Max and Acooma on Spy. Every player on this team has multitudes of talent, they even have the likes of TeamFortress.TV emperor enigma playing scout, for me it is hard to see a team that can topple them, I mean look at their BACKUPS, these guys ain't even starting and they could probably form another superteam.
enigma | Grape | PuddingCup | Ruwin | Arthur | Vhalin | Cozen | Max! | Acooma |
TMP - What can be said about the current super team of platinum? It’d be hard to argue that any of the main roster players on this team are not among the top 3 players for their class in highlander, and it shows with how they play. They play smart cohesively, they play strong individually, and they’ve practically rolled over their competition every time I’ve looked at their games. I’d expect them to win this tournament.
The_Overlord - _Just like season 8 -ts- or season 9 ginyu, GC's strength lies in their wall-to-wall stacked roster and extreme confidence in their own abilites, leading to them playing hyper-aggressively and never yielding a single inch of map control to their opponents for free. When you have 8 talented players by your side, your team becomes a true band of brothers, ready to fight to the death for one another. enigma and grape both transitioned from 6s perfectly, and are playing their roles better than anyone else in plat at the moment. Arthur has been easily the best heavy for a while now, being mechanically flawless and truly selfless at the same time. cozen is one of the best callers in hl, while still having a strong knowledge of the hl meta and good positioning; other than a stray backstab, the dude is night unkillable. The team's two snipers, Max! and Acooma (the scariest ambassador...er in the world) never give your combo a moment of breathing room. ruwin has strong DM and insane movement as demo, and plays off his team's aggression really well, playing positions that might be too far forward on another team but lead to insane damage output with a good supporting cast around him. pudding cup and vhalin round out the roster as solid supporters, not usually the keys to winning a game but never the reason a game is lost. Overall, GC is certainly a step ahead of the competition right now, and anything less than a gold medal will be disappointing to them._
Electric Temptations
Seed: #2
Formerly sponsored by Apocalypse Gaming, ET made up this dreadful name so they can use everyone's favourite cute alien as a team avatar. Names aside though, last season's 3rd placed side have changed their roster and so far this season, it has paid dividend with wins over mTs and DRS. Most of the roster remains the same with super sniper Phaze still on form, Deer still backstabbing nerds for fun and 38special on Demoman dealing the D. With the addition of Kill 'Em All moving from Scout to Heavy to bring more co-ordination and commuication to the combo, this has freed up a spot for monster scout Decimate to start bring the appropriate amount of pain. All in all this line-up seems to have found a formula that works and could be outside contenders.
*Decimate* | *Ricky* | *Satan* | *38Special* | *Kill 'em All* | *Evil* | *Phorofor* | *Phaze* | *Deer* |
TMP - Despite this team being so good and me knowing it, I haven’t really seen any of their games. Just looking at the roster, though, I have a feeling that this team can cause some serious chaos on the battlefield. With downright insane deathmatching on odd classes and very good deathmatching potential otherwise, I see this team being hard to beat. I don’t know their general strategies and if they exploit these factors, but regardless if they play traditionally or specially tailored around their potentials, I still see this team as the second best team in this tournament.
The_Overlord - _Electric Temptations- After last season, it seemed at first as if the ex-AG roster would sort of plateau, staying a top 5 team but not really reaching the very very top of highlander. However, everything changed when the team made a brilliant move and moved Kill 'em All to heavy and picked up the swarthy and handsome Decimate to scout for their team. Kill 'em All seems to impact games more than chimpfeet did, and Decimate is a much scarier scout DM-wise than Kill 'em All, without sacrificing the latter player's survivability. With those changes, the team now has probably the most complete roster outside of Gentlemen's Club, with just about every one of their players hitting top 5 or even top 3 at their class. R1CKY is a scary hl soldier with strong DM and an aggressive playstyle. Satan is the best roaming pyro in hl, with amazing mechanics. 38special is the most consistent demoman in hl, and while he doesn't talk a ton he always puts out solid damage. Evil is not as well known an engi as he should be, because he's probably the best engineer behind sigafoo, rarely going out of position or making mistakes. Phorofor is a solid medic, good at staying alive in a pinch. phAZE has evolved into an incredibly scary sniper, the only sniper who consistently performs at Max's level playing this season. Deer is a spy savant, who despite his unimpressive revolver aim and quiet persona manages to get more combo picks than any other spy. On paper, the team is probably the second best roster in hl. With the loss of cozen, the team doesn't really have one of the strongest hl callers anymore, which is their strongest weakness. However, their incredibly strong DM across the board should make up for it._
MURDERFORCE9000
Seed: #3
The tyrannically named MURDERFORCE9000 being led by Spy legend Stabby Stabby have had a mixed start to the season, winning their first match on Lakeside vs uBs but losing 2-0 on Gravelpit to top seed Gentlemen's Club. They have picked up ex-iT members, Shrugger, Indust and B4nny (back on Demoman) alongside Fathom on Pyro. However it appears there is a lack of Grant Vincent, so therefore LAN fashion icon, Mal3a aka "Mabla" will take up the sticky launcher. A strong roster, certainly amongst the contenders but as of late they seem to have been struggling for form, my insights into their play have always been that they have lacked some form of strategy and co-ordination as a team, alongside strong main calling. Furthermore it appears Engineer superstar Sigafoo will not be present for this event as he goes away on holiday to entertain female casters with his musical instrument skills opposed to Engineering abilities.
*Shrugger* | *Remedy* | *Fathom* | *Mal3a* | *Snailboat* | *???* | *Indust* | *Fox* | *Stabby stabby* |
TMP - The star studded team of platinum this year has showed a relatively rocky start to the season, or at least one you’d expect from them. Their play hasn’t exactly been exceptional in any means at one category I’d say. Perhaps their flank is the most exceptional portion of the team. They have a lot to prove in this tournament, and I see them more likely than not having to prove themselves by climbing out of the lower bracket.
The_Overlord - _Murderforce is a tough team to pin down, with a somewhat fluctuating roster and inconsistent performances from its players. The funny part is, it's the invite talent on the roster that's struggled the most as of late. Shrugger and indust, both expected to play pivotal roles on the team, have underperformed as of late; the former seems too keen to hold +forward, while the latter's knack for risky positioning and uber milking has lead to lots and lots of deaths and uber drops as he adapts to the more punishing metagame. Ma3la, the now-starting demo expected to fill b4nny's clown-sized shoes, has shown impressive DM but a lot of overextension, something that can be fixed with time but is currently an issue. Luckily, the "two cuties" remedy and snailboat, playing soldier and heavy respectively, have been very solid, proving that many invite players have a natural knack for hl disproportionate to their 6s team's placing in the invite division. The team also features talents of Hawaiian high-ping sniper Fox, who has been relying quite a bit on the power of the machina bodyshot as of late. The biggest bonus for the team lies in its utility classes. Fathom is certainly a top 2 pyro in platinum, bringing a similar level of DM to the combo that Satan brings to the flank. Stabby knows how to make use of a combination of smart target selection, good comms, and douchey unlocks (DR + spycicle master race) to have a strong impact for his team. Overall, I think a lot of people see MF9K as the 2nd best team or even the best team in platinum, based on the 6s pedigree of their roster. Honestly, I'd rate ET above them at the moment, but MF9K would probably be disappointed finishing below top 3 or 4 in this tourney, a goal I expect them to reach._
Menace To Society
Seed: #4
The typical late starters of the season, mTs are still vying for their first ever (non-summer season) UGC title after last season's disappointment and their second, 2nd place finish. Their practise schedule has been sporadic as per usual fashion with this Harbleu/M4risa led side, contributing somewhat to a loss against ET on Lakeside. Their lineup remains as unpredictable as their scrim schedule, after their week 1 defeat, ex-Street Hoops heavy Skyrolla took up the minigun, with the legendary, "4th greatest player of all time" JJK (of -ts- fame) playing Engineer, though not on the roster. New pickups from week 1 Chimpfeet and Niko Jims, see the former AG heavy possibly dropped and Niko Jims moving to SYOPS. The questionable and unproven Katsy on Pyro still holds her place, but there are a few questions to be answered for this roster. I don't hold my hopes up for mTs but they have enough talent to cause an upset, if the same line-up plays the tournament as last week, we could see them go far but in terms of form and stability they're a bit behind the rest. Hopefully the #JJK Factor will bring them through.
*Squid* | *Panic* | *Katsy?* | *Platinum* | *Skyrolla* | *JJK* | *Harbleu* | *M4risa* | *Noko* |
TMP - Menace to Society is definitely the team with the most variability in placement in this tournament. With serious backing, Menace to Society is an insanely scary team, and they’ve been playing remarkably well for having never scrimmed or playing together with most of their team for the most part. Depending on how they have developed coordination and do so over the tournament could spell the differences between what I would say could be a potential 0-2 out and even perhaps winning the entire thing. Though I feel Menace to Society plays a very “traditional” style of highlander, they have the strengths in the right spot to make it the best traditional play in the tournament.
The_Overlord - _If there's one thing mTs is known for, it's stepping up when it counts the most. Traditionally a 6s-centric team with a very lax practice schedule, these guys always seem to shift up a gear in playoffs, and inevitably find themselves finishing in a podium position. Of all the players on the team, it's pretty clear who the heart of the squad is; it is, was, and forever will be harbleu. The guy contributes so much to his team, both through his extremely aggressive heals and through his extremely aggressive micromanaging of every other player on the team. Of course, this impact comes with a cost; harbleu risks his life a lot, and the best way to beat mTs has always been to simply kill their leader. Of course, that's not to say that the rest of mTs is just a bunch of pushovers. The team features squid on scout, who is still one of the scariest scouts in hl. In addition, noko is a very strong spy who always contributes positively to the team. When I was mentioning snipers earlier, I certainly forgot m4risa, but there's a reason for that. Most of the time, she plays solidly, but is fairly unspectacular. However, I have seen games where she just absolutely wrecks the other team. The rest of the roster has its strengths, but isn't quite on the level of, say, Gentlemen's Club. Panic is a decent soldier, but there are better. Katsy is a solid but passive pyro, more of a "Geosus-style" pyro than a "fathom-style" pyro. While this might hurt her damage stats, it will hopefully help keep harbleu alive, a worthy sacrifice considering his impact. Skyrolla on heavy is pretty solid, as well as a fairly strong caller (as long as he doesn't clash with harbleu's more aggressive vision of how to play the game). I believe JJK is playing engi, and he's ok but not particularly scary at the class. Lastly, the biggest wildcard on the team is Platinum on demoman. It feels odd to say such a thing about someone who has reached the level Plat has in invite, but I've seen a wide range of performances from him in hl. If he maintains his focus, tries hard, and finds ways to apply his 6s knowledge to hl, he has probably the highest potential upside of any demo in the tournament. I think first place is unlikely with vhalin's team running around, but 2nd is very possible for mTs. However, it's equally possible that the team will burn out fairly early on, if they don't show up playing to win._
Dunning-Kruger Effect
Seed: #5
The surprise package of the season, last season's Gold winners dK have impressed so far, beating out DRS and Stag Party in matches, getting ahead of SYOPS in these seedings as they have played more teams. This side possess a lot of unknowns, including what the "Dunning Kruger Effect" is to me, causing me to google it for an answer....ohhh, clever name, clever...great metaphor for Gold. Onto their roster, I do not know much about them myself, but results speak for themselves, their win against DRS their finest moment so far saw a solid team performance by dK, though they have recently parted company with their old Scout Snorlax for dflame, the former having a mightily impressive game on Lakeside, perhaps pointing to some internal problems there? Who really knows, but I am excited to see this team of unknowns up against the best this weekend, they could be the underdogs...or victoms of the Dunning-Kruger Effect - Who knows.
*Dflame* | *Aegis* | *Velocity* | *Frostfire* | *Karl* | *Lelouch24* | *Couches* | *Stones* | *Feint* |
TMP - Though no one on Dunning-Kruger screams “Hey, look at me, I’m downright frighteningly amazing!”, they play really well off each others’ styles to create this very scrappy, successful playstyle. This style works really well on koth maps, and I’d go out on a limb and say it’d probably work well in 5cp as well. The downside is, their style of play and coordination doesn’t really execute as well on payload maps as their other maps (at least from what I've surmised from playing against them). Due to this glaring weakness, I don’t see them winning the tournament, but I can see them definitely getting an upset victory and knocking a team out that people wouldn't think they can beat.
The_Overlord - _DK has been the cinderella story of plat thus far, rising from the slums of gold to challenge plat fairly well. While the team lacks the scary individual DM of some of the invite-stacked teams, their teamplay and chemistry are extremely strong. If I had to point to a few standout players on the team, I'd go with Karl, Lelouch24, stones and feint. Karl, perhaps more well known for his obsession with shirtlessness than for his in-game skill, is in fact a very solid heavy, with strong positioning and consistent tracking. Lelouch24, and it pains me to say this, has mastered the wrangler more than any other engi I've ever seen. Call it a crutch, call it cheap, but the dude definitely knows how to use (some might say abuse) that most controversial of unlocks. stones, while not yet at the level of a Max! or a phAZE, falls solidly in the middle of the next rung down, amidst tech, bowswer and the like. feint, I must confess, extremely impressed me when we played dK, hitting some crazy """matador stabs""" and consistently getting kills throughout the game. The rest of the roster is fairly unspectacular, but solid enough. The legendary AcesGamer soldiers for the team, and while his DM is not the best he has solid timing and cohesion with his team, allowing him to get decent picks. Velocity seems to have good positioning and mechanics as pyro, though not exactly striking fear into the hearts of men. Frostfire is a solid hl demo, but sometimes roams too much and gets caught out of position; if he controls his blood lust he does fairly well. Only Couches Pull Out, despite having the best name of anyone I've ever seen in this game, is probably the team's weak point; the dude is decent at staying alive, but his heals are sometimes questionable, and I see him drop players in a lot of ubers. Snorlax, who previously occupied the role of scout, quit his team, and was replaced with dflame. Personally, I am of the opinion that this move is a step down, at least for now. snorlax did not have invite-tier DM, but he had good positioning and played well off his team, always seeming to get a good k:d when needed. dflame is a more mercurial talent, possessing strong DM but often overextending and getting frustrated. Overall, I think dK can make it a few rounds deep into the tourney, but they definitely won't be winning it all._
Dead Ringer Storage
Seed: #6
The best named team in the tournament are led by none other than the infamous Mustardoverlord, the most vocal TF2 player on the planet. Whilst his freestyle rapping may be better than his success in TF2, he has managed to arrange a side bustling with talent, but they have yet to make their mark on the season. My seeding of 6th could be seen as harsh for DRS, putting them behind SYOPS but losses to ET and dK have sunk them into 8th in the rankings at this early stage, albeit without as generous a schedule. With the possibility of a few subs, DRS will be slightly below their best as Kev will fill in for their normal scout, Nja and it is still unknown who will Heavy for them with SneakyPolar Bear not being present. The_Overlord he has hinted at the possibility of also missing their soldier, Tickz as well, though Bobby from uBs is lined up to fill in. Talking about what they have though, their big players will be their pick classes like Rainy and Tech filling out Spy and Sniper respectively, mixed with a lot of Kritzkreig shenanigans from Kblair and Mustardoverlord, perhaps too predictable a side to threaten the top teams but I am sure they will want to prove a point in the middle part of Platinum.
*Kev* | *Tickzf???* | *Tryhard Johnny* | *Mustardoverlord* | *???* | *Skag* | *Kblair* | *Tech* | *Rainy* |
TMP - A team plagued by unlucky matchups in the matches of the season, Dead Ringer Storage has been playing very, very well during scrims and is showing signs of being definitely up there in the top 4 teams this season by how they play overall recently. With one of the more unique styles in platinum, Dead Ringer Storage brings a lot of threat to the table and can probably take wins off of most teams in platinum (I wouldn’t say Gentlemen’s Club though). They may push really far into the tournament, who knows.
Possibly The_Overlord - _I am a Gigantic Pussy and won't talk about my team_
SYOPS TF2
Seed: #7
Behind DRS only on a technicality, this long standing team, formerly known as BPM have taken a few bumps since their days as runners up during Season 9. Now supported by SYOPS TF2, they have had a relatively kind schedule to begin the season, a bye win due to the death of Street Hoops and a win over uBs on Gravelpit keeps them undefeated in regular season, though a pre-season loss to DRS is cause for their low seeding. It is a known fact they have struggled to put some form of roster together as it appears previous big names and original members like Br0nze and Mouse have stepped down, even replacing Br0nze with the likes of Invite superstar Milo may be a bit of a downgrade, it's hard to exaggerate how big a player Br0nze was for them. Filling in other spots are the likes of Corsa and Dogfloaties, Niko Jims moving over from mTs after a disappointing display versus ET and their season 9 star Demoman, Kapoww back...oh and TicTack. There are a lot of changes for Cygnus' side, right down to the Medic, another unproven player in Lydi. I still see this team as decent but loss of their big stars from the past hinders their chances of getting a top 4 finish.
*Milo* | *TicTack* | *Cygnus* | *Kapoww* | *Sharpshot* | *Niko Jims* | *Lydi* | *Corsa* | *Dogfloaties* |
TMP - SYOPS looks a lot better in their matches than they do in their scrims. Though they maintain relatively close to teams like Stag Party in scrims, when it comes to performance in matches, they seem to know how to play it specifically for their opponent, or at least they do better in matches. It seems the unpredictability of the tournament setting hurts this, but SYOPS is still no slouch of a team, capable of playing at a high level and advancing on with their strong individual performances and decent cohesion. I expect them to lose their first match, however.
The_Overlord - _SYOPS is in a bit of an odd position at the moment. Their team has a strong roster on paper, it just has yet to click perfectly and reach the top of platinum. Although the team's roots are in bpm, only two of the team's nine players, Cygnus and Sharpshot, come from that roster. The rest of the team is a mixture of up and coming hl players and 6s talent. In terms of 6s, you have milo and TicTack donning the scattergun and rocket launcher, Kapowww with the stickies, and r/truetf2 empress Lydiaxa on the heals. All of these players are certainly solid; milo is very aggro and has strong aim, TicTack has some of the best directs in tf2, Kapowww (reprising his role as bpm's demo from 3 seasons ago) has solid DM and gamesense, and Lydi has a really strong tf2 mind. However, all 4 of them have yet to translate this potential into top of hl play yet. Expect that to happen with time, but perhaps Sunday is too short a deadline? Rounding out the hl mains on the roster are Cygnus, a strong but incredibly aggressive pyro; Sharpshot, who's always been a very solid and underrated heavy; and the trio of corsa, Niko Jims, and dogfloaties from tlb on sniper, engi, and spy respectively. While there's a fairly big dropoff of snipers after Max! and phAZE, corsa has arguably been playing well enough to deserve that number 3 spot, while dogfloaties has consistently done well himself. Niko Jims has struggled recently, but perhaps he just needs to get back in the form he had on QC. In the past, bpm has suffered most when they have gone without a strong caller. Lydi has the potential to fill that role this season, but she is very green to hl and is still learning the meta. Overall, what looks like an easy top 3 roster is more likely to finish in the 5th-6th range. However, anything is possible._
Stag Party
Seed: #8
The final invited side, edging it over uBs in terms of just being invited to play, Stag Party are lucky to be here in some aspects, moved straight up to Platinum despite not making it to the last 4 of the Gold playoffs, although they did lose out to eventual champions dK, so that says something. Stag Party come into this tournament with the most to prove, whether or not they belong up with the best or not is the big, big question as their only proven player at this level is former Blonde bombshell, UGC winner and underwear model, TMP on Pyro who has been putting in the performances for SP. I hear a lot of good things about some of their other players, such as Huck on soldier and Tiny on heavy but for these guys, the ball is in their court to prove themselves with a nearly "unwinnable" first round match versus Gentlemen's Club, they do have the chance to make a noise in the Lower Bracket. We will see, we will see.
*Audie* | *Huck* | *TMP* | *Loomer* | *Tiny* | *Scratchy* | *Blew* | *Doxed* | *Flintstone* |
TMP - Stag Party enters the tournament as probably the last team anyone would expect to get to the finals and win the entire thing. Their performance as of their revival has been extremely odd, losing to gold team Pregame Tryhards in scrims while giving many other low-mid platinum teams close competition in scrims. With an odd style that incorporates the natural hyper-aggression of their team’s key players, Stag Party can create shockingly strong aggressive plays that catch many teams off guard. However, they tend to create massive openings for the enemy to capitalize on by doing this (Like Feint did against Stag Party last Monday), and because of this, I expect most of the teams in the tournament will probably win if they go against them.
The_Overlord - _For many of the other teams, the key point of discussion lies in strong players they have picked up; for sp, the most interesting story is the weak link that they have removed. Boomhauer, the long-time medic and captain of sp, was clearly holding the team back, there's no other way to put it, and the team has really stepped up their game without him. Much like dK, sp appear to be more than the sum of their parts, with teamwork being their greatest asset. If I had to point to standout players, it would be Tiny, doxed and Huck. Tiny, the heavy for the team, also seems to have taken over the role of main caller, and he seems fairly solid at it. While he has the luxury of getting more heals than just about any other heavy in plat, he puts them to good use, getting tons of frags every match. doxed is another sniper in the "middle of the pack", and while his aim can be inconsistent he always seems to position himself intelligently and rotate spots when needed. Huck is the sleeper star of the team, playing a very aggressive style that results in lots of deaths but also lots of kills and damage. Audie is a decent but unspectacular scout, scratchy is very good at staying alive as engineer but doesn't have amazing shotgun DM, TMP has strong pyro mechanics but sometimes overextends a bit, blue is solid medic but is still fairly new to hl, both Cappadonna and Tadd (the latter of which is a backup but might play demo this tournament) are DM-heavy demos who sometimes get caught out of position, and Zachflinstone is one of the weaker spies in plat. I view sp as sort of a "dK-lite"; both teams are more dependent on chemistry and timing than on amazing DM, but dK is just a tiny bit better. I would say sp will most likely go out early in this tournament, but you never know._
Big thanks to these two for providing some write ups about the teams, especially to Mustardoverlord who wrote so much I had to cut it down. I ONLY ASKED FOR 4 or 5 sentences!
