If the min. amount of time required is 350, something is wrong. I have almost 3k hours in TF2 and it tells me I do not have the required amount of TF2 played. I just made an ETF2L account too.

The TF2Pickup.net Staff!
Hello ladies and gentlemen.
Last two days were really exciting for us. We broke our record for pickups in one day and broke our record for people online. At this point we want to say thanks to all players who joined us this weekend and helped raising the money for Tip of the Hats. They raised ~$105.000 for the kids for One Step Camp, by the way, which is amazing. But lets show our shiny stats aswell now:
During the event we had:
- 68 6v6 pickups = €34.00 = $46.92
- 15 9v9(HL) pickups = €15.00 = $20.70
- 18 BBall pickups = €4.50 = $6,21
- 17 Ultiduo pickup = €4.25 = $5.86
-
In total = €57.75 = ~$79.70
We then decided to add another $70 and donate $150, as we were really pleased by the amount of pickups played.
We want to say thanks to the all people who were on the stream of Tip of the Hats, who promoted us and gave us a great shoutout there. Big thanks to Haydn, Konr and Ducky, who worked on the stream on Saturday when we did our first pickup broadcast. Unfortunately, Lamqta forgot to turn the recording of the stream so we don’t have VODs from it. Big shoutout to Arie who provided us with a server for mumble during the weekend when we had problems with ours. (that caused the crashes on the mumble and the webserver if you are still wondering). And now its time to announce our winners from our raffle.
- Level 5 donator rank for 1 month – tea, S!IMON and Tritone for “Medics of the event” (per gametype)
- 5x Level 5 donator ranks, lasting 1 month – zEaK47, Raptor, Pepis, zen, hedokingoglu
- 10x Announcer for a week – esk, Adeel, turkuaz, s0rex, Fuddles, FlamingBear, 0verflow, Oliver Targos, tiagoo, Beater
The winners of the announcers should contact admins through steam/tf2pickup to get their announcer.
Furthermore we will do a item raffle soon, as Kuferl won the 200 unboxed crate raffle and we will use some of those items.
And in conclusion, we should add that’s not the last time we do broadcasting of our pickup channel. We are working on something that might give us the chance to stream every weekend.
Thank you all who played this weekend.

We're looking for someone who can (help us to) develop a ranking system for TF2Pickup.net that is not based on the etf2l divisions (as it is now).
It's for balancing the pickups in the best possible way of course.
Mainly looking for people who can develop most of it on their own, but if you got a good idea how make it the most accurate (and can't program), you're welcome as well.
Simply add me on steam so we can talk about details etc ;)

So I wanted to try this out to get into a more competitive scene but when I logged on it stated I did not meet the requirements.
My Tf2 hours are at 1,100hr's and I don't see any other restrictions I fall under so any idea why this would be happening?

DaMeiN, at the moment we have a restriction that you need an ETF2L profile to be able to play. This is so we have some way to detect possible 'skill' based on team/match history and we have a consistent user name (so we don't need to use/filter Steam user names). Also there are only 10 European servers and no NA/AU/SA servers/support yet.
If there are more TF2 Leagues with APIs to figure out a skill/div/team rank and consistent user names we can add those to be one of the 'required' leagues to create an account to keep track of your pickup history.

Hello everybody! We haven't posted any news since May..but thats because we've been busy with exams/work and uni projects! We are back with some great news! So i will directly copy-paste our last news post on our official steam group!
It's been a while since there was a summary of all the things that were recently changed or tweaked on http://TF2Pickup.net
Announcer volume slider
We've tried to do our best on normalizing the volumes each announcer response, but not every announcer has the same volume, nor does everyone have the same sound preferences. So we decided we should add a volume slider, which you can find top right in the menu bar, where you also find the most recent pickup you play(ed) in and your profile.
Showing map, pre-ready & Socket update
The part that keeps everyone added up and allows for chatting, alerts and the !help commands in chat, the socket, also got some updates.¹ It will show which map is going to be played in the pickup, prevent you from adding up if you just joined a pickup to give others a chance to play and is being prepared for possible multiple region support so we can provide pickup servers in parts of the world that aren't Europe.
ELO based pickup balancing
To be less dependant on the ETF2L divisions system and eventually become independent of this we have decided to develop our own ELO/Ranking system to balance pickups. Playing in pickups and doing good will improve your rating/ranking/skill where constant suicides might work in div 7 or lobbies, but won't help you here.
Invite your friends, team mates & hat simulator enthusiasts to play pickups on http://TF2Pickup.net
The TF2Pickup.net Staff

But thats not all. Today we decided to create and start a new project called "Highlander special". We decided to create a steam group, where people can post annoucements and motivate each other to join our, especially highlander, pickupbot and use it whenever they want! Here is the steam group [Click]. Also i would like to give some more information about the upcoming changes on the map pools. We decided to test this weekend and hopefully add some of the newest(or maybe not so new) TF2 competitive maps like logjam, craneways, derecho and more... so stay tuned about more information! :)
p.p We are really sorry that the USA part of the website is not ready for lauching yet...but it will be soon..really soon. ^^

I simply don't have as much time as I'd love to contribute towards TF2Pickup, therefore we're looking for another developer to help us out.
We're mainly looking for people who have knowledge (and experience?^^) with PHP and general HTML/CSS/JS, as this would be your main part.
People with node.js/socket.io experience would be welcomed too, as I'm not an expert on that ;)
If you got any questions or want to apply add me!

I am infinitely jealous of you euros.

Would really love for US TF2Pickup because #tf2mix died, meaning the only open PUGs now are ESEA, which obviously isn't accessible to UGC players unless they're willing to pay for premium. Outside of ESEA, there's only inhouse groups.

Considering this hasn't happened yet, it must be a Valve project.

I don't know when this is coming because last I heard we we're short in dev time as Kuferl is currently busy with other things. But if you don't mind the pings and funny accents you can always play EU pickups, I have seen quite a few americans playing on the 1-2 am pickups lately.

A quick quote of mine from congrats to cinq and #tf2mix
LaMqTaHello everybody! I am really sorry to hear that the irc pugs are not going as they should. But i have another idea in mind that someone of you might be interested in. TF2Pickup.net is website for 6s,hl,ultiduo and bball pickups and its working..fine so far. We have some problems with balancing but doing our best to fix them when our coders have the time. We've been thinking about expanding the website to the NA scene aswell because many USA players have been interested in playing our website, but unfortunatelly its only for EU at the moment. Also our coders do not have the time to make it, so few months ago we decided to start looking for new coders/devs who would like to join our team and start developing the pickup so we can expand it, but i have posted that only in ETF2L(where the main audience is from europe(logic, right...)). But Kaneco told me about the problem here and we are also interested if somebody from the NA community is interested in helping us and making it work for na players. SimRai are offering servers with location chicago and new york so the gameservers should not be a problem.
Here is the original post from Kuferl about it: http://etf2l.org/forum/community/topic-23781/page-73/#post-506700
Please anyone who is interested in helping us, contact me, kuferl or wiethoofd on steam! :) Thanks in advance.
And its also really mean to say "its valve project" when Kuferl/Wiethoofd are doing this for free and in their free time. The offer for NA Devs/Coders is still available, if anyone wants to give it a shot add me/kuferl or wieth. :)

We passed the 1000 pickup mark this month, this was our most successful and active month ever. That's over 30 pickups a day and the month is not even finished yet. This is a clear example that this community is very much alive for people who doubt it, also afaik this is the most active month in the history of any kind of tf2 pickups.
