You can edit your stats as you like besides total hours played on the game. Just that it's pointless thing to do.

(no u cant get VAC banned from it)

so now some cheats have walkbots for valve dm maps to auto-farm xp to get to rank 3 (and now it's rank 2 for mm and you gain xp faster too lol)

rank 3s go for $10 or so at least so it's actually pretty worth it

it has nothing to do with rank 3, it gives people the idea that you are an experienced player because you have X amount of hours in a video game
