making huds is fun so i made another one :)
this time I took the concept of a minimal hud, went beyond minimal to get to an extreme level and here is what I've got so far

the picture is cropped rather than scaled as 1px widths doesn't scale down very well
this hud is mostly an experiment but i think it turned out to be a lot more useful than i thought it would be

if you use just big lines for the crosshair, i suggest adding more colors and lines to it so that you can make them slightly transparent but see them with no problem.
here's an example. (second screenshot's lines could probably be less transparent, but then it already has a regular crosshair)
