Hello everyone.
Looks like the Chilling in North Korea flag has been flown for the last time in S15. (I guess I used the roster last season but S16 was hardly legitimate.) Time to meet new friends, try new things!
Anyway, I guess I'm on the search now for ESEA S17. I'll be very up-front in saying that I'm looking to not maincall, or at least not maincall on an aggressive team. S15 may have been my best performance but I'm pretty much unproven in an aggressive environment. People who know me know I play a calculated, passive style of Medic that isn't very popular. While I'm certainly conservative by nature, I feel that a key component of why I played TF2 the way I did with Chilling in North Korea was because I was maincaller. In an environment where nobody else was maincalling, I relied on my passive philosophy to lead the team, since others were not comfortable with the task. If I'm the listener, however, I can just Medic, place heals on the right people, and play the follower. I'd be lying if I said that I wouldn't want to at least try aggro Medic.
Another big problem is that I'm still in Hong Kong, and won't return to the U.S. until July 15th. I'd guess that S17 will start around that time, but probably not before, given LAN is June 29th. Obviously, dedicated teams will have probably ideally found their Medic before then and have been practicing, etc. This is also the same reason why it's unlikely I rebuild the NK roster. But I can guarantee you that I will prepare and put in the time regardless of how soon I join a team. I'll be willing to try anything while I'm still in Hong Kong, too, if that means getting up early to play 200 ping Medic for a pseudo-tryout - since I did that for pretty much all of S16 lol - I'll do it.
I consider myself a huge self-critic, calling myself out on mistakes / being bad mid-scrim or when going back through POVs. I am an advocate of watching team and individual POVs with teammates to further improve. I'm usually available most nights unless I tell someone otherwise, and will be EST when I return to the U.S.

Tery has become a good friend of mine, and is really passionate about playing good tf2.
If I can't play with him this season, I hope he gets to have a good team.

Tery has always been a really nice and helpful guy. His med play is solid as long as you understand and play with his style.

i think he once had a zero death game in a 5-0 loss which is the most mind-boggling tf2 stat i've ever seen

I'm legitimately considering not playing in open so I don't have to push last again against Tery
S15 process week still gives me nightmares

Ahh yes. The Process game where you kept resetting with 5 players and I didn't trust my team enough to push out. Not fun times.

Tery's an awesome guy. He's always helping out the game in any way he can, whether through write-ups or just making a rag-tag team to help let esea live. Last time I played against him he was able to keep himself alive extremely well and it was always a challenge killing him. GL finding a team!

He's a very genuine person to be around. Says what he means and doesn't have any "side objectives" behind his actions.

welp
ESEA just announced registration for S17 would end July 7th, and then the season would start the week after.
Assuming no delays, I won't even be back in time until halfway through the first week.
Figured I'd at least post about that.

9:17 AM - Tery_LFTS17: I need you to work some of your brown magic for me.
9:17 AM - Tery_LFTS17: Delay S17 registration by 1-2 weeks and then delay the start of the season by another 1-2 weeks.
9:18 AM - Tery_LFTS17: Then I'll have enough time to find a starting spot somewhere.
9:18 AM - trog: okay
9:18 AM - trog: done
Based trog has granted me enough time to return to the United States AND play some TF2. Praise be unto him.
On a more serious note. I'll reiterate that I'm unavailable for tryouts until July 15th (barring playing any 200-ping pseudo-trials from Hong Kong). A few people have added me without knowing this, so I guess I'll bold a sentence in my OP or something.

Gonna give this a quick bump.
