2500k is old. 3570k is newer and has better performance/clocks ratio. (IIRC 4,2GHz 2500k = 3.9GHz 3570k more or less.)

Hrmmm well, the board can only upgrade to an x6 for cpu wise. The gpu is fine. Ram / psu / maybe a 128 gig solid state drive?

pcppartpicker.com has a few different solid states for under $100 for 128 gigs then ram is cheap as well.

Technically you could get a second card but it would take up most the money and you would have to upgrade power supply. The only way to move up in cpu is mobo.

So if anything i would go with SSD/ram then maybe get some peripherals like mouse, keyboard, ect... if you need them.

Bio probly has the best suggestion for total increase in performance. But it depends on your budget.

Sadly, being in Québec and all, US stores are pretty much a no-go for me.

Also, they cost quite a bit more on newegg.ca :(

I'm willing to change my MOBO/CPU(Already that in mind). My GPU is about 2 months old so yeah.

I might get myself a new case(Looking at the CM Storm Scout) because mine has taken quite a beating over the years(Some snapped USB ports).

2500k overclocks better but the i would go for the 3570 just because it saves power when and its the newer architecture, some would disagree though, i also don't know much about overclocking other than the fact that 2500k does it very well

The motherboard won't overclock as well but thats about it. The 3570k is a great CPU. The bundle with the Hyper 212 is the same price as the products I listed but if you used the 3570k with my motherboard its $10 more.

All in all, if you wanna save a couple bucks and don't care too much about the overclocking easily, go for that combo. Otherwise I'd stick with what I listed.

The 3570k overclocks well, but the drop off is it heats up a lot quicker then Sandy Bridge, so you won't be able to get as high of an overclock as you would be able to get with the 2500k.

I doubt I'm going to overclock, and if I do, it'll be very little.
