He told me that he watched this TED talk in class about this crazy idea that when you're just zoned in on something that's really competitive and you don't think about anything else but the thing you're doing at that moment. It's single-minded immersion that happens to people who are doing anything from playing sports to painting a picture. It's pure ecstasy that energies you and you just channel this energy into whatever you're doing. It's called flow, and he was reminded of me because the professor talked about video game players as the in class example. I said who developed this concept? He said Mihály Csíkszentmihályi.
