I recently noticed that i couldn't select sniper over on Tryhard Brigade. Slot was empty and all. Then i headed over to the less popular Simrai soap dm server and same thing there. Has there been some kind of a general patch to the mod which disallows sniper or what?

I recently noticed that i couldn't select sniper over on Tryhard Brigade. Slot was empty and all. Then i headed over to the less popular Simrai soap dm server and same thing there. Has there been some kind of a general patch to the mod which disallows sniper or what?
It depends on the preferences of whoever runs the server. Some people dislike sniper in DM because generally whatever team has the sniper is basically down a man in all the fights around mid and it becomes really one sided.

I guess that all DM server admins realized that snipers are waste of player slots and banned em all

Sniper has been banned on the Simrai server a few days ago. Don't know about TRYHARDBRIGADE.

rock-tryhardbrigade has many things wrong
It's still the best alternative to huhy's server which runs badlands 24/7 for some reason, hopefully the simrai server will get more popular.

You still played there 2 weeks constantly complaining on the chat about maps, number of slots, other players, basically everything, don't you feel like you might've been that thing that was wrong?

i prolly complained about number of slots, and about rules, maps... mmh i just think metalworks shouldn't be in the map pool anymore, i've never complained about players, maybe just that ppl tryhard, but that's common with every server i guess, now prove that you're smart, guess why i played on your server for 2 weeks "constantly" as you say

these are my gripes with sniping in dm, 1) it's really annoying when you're trying to actually dm with people and someone shoots you from across the map and there's nothing you can do about it 2) snipers who get butthurt about always being focused in dm, like do you not expect people to counter you when you're actually sniping in 6s?

I personnally like playing sniper in dm, but at the same time I think it would be best if it was banned.
When you're far away from the sniper, he destroys the shit outta you. When you're close to him, he can't do anything, it's just too easy to kill him.
Just practice sniper in pubs. I don't think a DM server is the best place for that.
