Marxist story
Story time with Marxist is the best. Also, did you look at him at some point and say "I. Drink. Your. Slushy! I drink it all up!"
Actually on topic, if you have to choose between time with your kid or TF2. Go with the kid. Please. As for creating time, you just need to have a block of time where you don't have to look after your kid, much like Marxist's arrangement.

eeeTeapot_Last year I did the stupid thing and prioritised tf2 over uni, peaking at ~110 hours/2 weeks during exam weeks.. Not gonna let that happen this time around.
i dropped out to focus on my DM
I dropped out 4 times to not be in playoffs...4 times...

When my daughter was that age was probably the most video game time I've had since she was born. She was sleeping heavily through the night so I could easily get in a few hours from ~9-1am, go feed and change her, then go to bed - but she was always a really, really good sleeper.
Now that she's a lot older, I don't play anything until she's off to sleep and everything is taken care of, which means I usually barely make scrim times a lot of nights.
If I lived in a time zone other than EST I probably could not play TF2 competitively at all.
Like others said above, you can't put vidya games above family, but if this is what you like to do, you should carve out some time for yourself regularly and if this is what you like, do it.

I agree, especially when my online "gaming" friends are more fun to hang out with than real life friends

For the past 15 years I am highly insomniac which results in me getting only about 3-4.5hrs of sleep at night( I can nap super quick in the most public places if I like :> ). Surprisingly my body/brain adapted to this change over the time so that for about the last 8 years I am not in any way exhausted and I feel as relaxed as if I just slept 10hrs. This results in my day having 20 to 21hrs ,so its very easy for me to fill about 2-3 of these hours with some video gaming. Obviously insomnia is in no way a beneficial thing and I have to go to check up and a sleeping lab every 6month BUT it came in very handy when I got twins in December! If you have any questions you can hit me up :)

I don't have children but work schedule is the main thing stopping it, and my desire to have a social life. I could fit a lot more hours of gaming in if I only worked then played games.
