regarding mouse dpi, its generally a better idea to not have very high dpi because, unless you happen to have a god tier sensor on your mouse (g400 etc.), your sensor will likely malfunction at high dpi (most sensors do), causing you to miss, curse and get mad and get overwhelmed with the desire to end your miserable life
It's not really that weird, players have different ways of gripping/controlling their mouse based on whatever is most comfortable for them. You obviously only use your wrist to aim because it's more comfortable. I got into that habit too because I had a very small generic mousepad so I made my sens ~3" 360 and used solely my wrist and fingertips to aim. I only stopped because a few of my steam friends said that was weird so I got a bigger mousepad and made a conscious effort to use my arm. I can't aim with that high of a sensitivity anymore without having to re-adapt.
The only advantage that sensitivity brings is comfort to the individual person based on their preference. In simplest terms, if there was a "perfect sensitivity" to use, everyone would be using it.

ive been using 5.2" for a year and a half and only changed it once and i hated it. I recommend just using whats the most comfortable for you and to stick with it, and when you find that sens never change it.
7.5" is objectively the best soldier sensitivity and if you think otherwise you are wrong
FACT.
FACT.
soldiers should worry more about rocket placement than sens

Hey guys, how can I get better at the game without putting in any effort or practice?
darn has like 1.8 in or something while wltrs has like 35
sens doesn't matter, just play what you are comfortable with

I never assumed that I could get better just by changing a sensitivity. I just wanted to see what the general sensitivity Soldier mains use.

Yeah I think that came out a lot more douchey than I intended. It was more directed at the fact that sensitivity threads pop up all the time, and the only consensus that ever results is "use what you're comfortable with". If this thread isn't like those, then I apologize.

Nothing wrong with just using your wrist, I was just pointing out that there's different styles that are appropriate depending on your sens. If you have wltrs sens of 35in it's pretty certain that you use your arm to aim in long strokes. If you have Darn's sens of 2in it's pretty certain that you don't need to use your arm for aiming and just focus on little movements of your wrist/fingertips.

When you talk about the sensitivity do you mean only the In-Game sensitivity? How to change the others sensivity like (cm/360) and sensivity (in-360)
lol am i the only guy who has the lowest sens? 1.7 inches per 360

My problem is that in other games I'm used to playing on ~17 inches per 360 and doing the same with soldier is sometimes a real pain in the ass. I'm having issues when I need to rocket jump with a rocket fired directly below my feet and with following airborne targets i.e other soldiers trying to jump me. Twitch based movements in general. I'm still not sure is that enough of a reason so switch, maybe I just need more time adjusting.

TBH, you really need to be comfortable and find a "sweet spot" in terms of your sensitivity. Basically, find a sensitivity that is best for you. If you're playing pocket, and you want to perfect tracking, especially fast moving players such as scouts, you would probably want a higher sensitivity (NOTE: THIS IS MY OPINION).
In anycase, you should also keep in mind about how you aim, twitch, track, w/e. Also, take into account in how you move your mouse when you want to find a good sensitivity (Do you move your mouse with your arm, or you use your wrists?)
Tl;dr, just find a sens that you're comfortable with, stick with it and DON'T CHANGE IT CONSTANTLY, then you'll just keep practicing.
PS. Don't be like me, over the past few months I went from 15in/360 -> 3 in/360 + mouse accel -> 9 in/360 -> 5 in/360. LMAO.

the best sensitivity is one that you are not using
disengage9.1" for me. Gives me a good mix of flicking and tracking
I have the exact same sensitivity :o crazy
In general, you want a sensitivity that you can control well while still being able to react quickly. Any sensitivity under 15-20 inches is practical (because at that point you are physically limited by the sensitivity). Maybe some people can play well with such a low sensitivity but I couldn't do it when i tried.
It's entirely preference. Find what works for you.

There is no real "Soldier Sensitivity" it's all about your preference. Go into a training server like MGE or whatever you can practice your airshots and rocket aim. once you have a sensitivity there that you are comfortable with that you feel like you can consistently hit rockets.
use the equation for your yaw added to your windows sensitivity and than take the integral of that and divide it by pi
this is the best sensitivity for soldier
