mouse sensitivity and screen resolution

I was recently playing on a 1600x900 monitor with blacks bars (monitor settings) and now since my old monitor stopped working I'm now using a 1365x768. The problem is my sensitivity feels very odd now. Is their a correlation between resolution and mouse sensitivity?

Your "useful dpi" is dependent on your resolution (higher res needs higher dpi), so you might be feeling that difference.

Different monitor sizes could affect your perception. Also what was the native res of your old monitor?
