is there a way to move my monitor display horizontally to the left?

I use a 1024x768 res, with black bars on the side, and I'd prefer if the screen was moved to the left, to cover 1 black bar, leaving the other black bar on the right side exposed.

But when I use the positioning on my monitor, it doesnt move the screen, it moves it behind the black bar.

Anyway for it to not do that?

windowed noborder with black desktop background and figure out a way to move the window

you could always stretch the res. what is your native res if it's not too big stretching shouldn't be so bad
