Here's the background
In terms of the elements, you need the following rainmeter skins:
Elegance 2
Do I Need a Jacket? 2
Honeycomb
I had to make the tf2 logo myself, here it is. Just use the structure of another element for tf2 (I used the cs:go one, but I know a lot of people play that)
All-in-one Player - works only with iTunes I think? I just wanted the album art, and since my music isn't exactly legal the album covers are all jacked up, but iTunes will import album covers quickly and easily.

It takes very little knowledge, i went into it not knowing anything about rainmeter. It took me about an hour to figure out what i was doing, and a few hours of experimentation and making sure the widgets worked properly, plus with my resolution and such, it wouldn't work well.
