I tried to test out streaming. When I did though, tf2 would crash when i preview stream or start. I tried doing it before and after, replacing the source, and I also tried to verify game cache.
I don't know if it's a hl2.exe problem as i haven't tried to stream other source games. When tf2 crashes, it doesn't open up the hl2.exe box, it just closes
i am running two sources : snip (music name display thingy) and tf2.
any help? thanks

I believe it's specifically the mouse heatmap/tracking thingie, so maybe try uninstalling just that.

they fixed it though, so its not that anymore. just turn off the heatmap and/or update synapse.

Open resource monitor, see if you near/pass 100% cpu usage before the crash. OBS and TF2 are both resource hogs.

Use the OBS forums. The guys there are super helpful. I also tend to use the OBS IRC channel because the admins are super active / responsive and it's free live help from that group. They're very knowledgeable.
What they'll likely have you do is upload a log file from your OBS, and then they'll be able to diagnose it and help you to fix the problem.
