Join Admirable & Sideshow for the final leg of the 1st TF2Center Archimedes Cup sponsored by Scrap.TF as we bring you the last two best-of-three series to fill out the podium from bronze to gold. First up we will pit 6 lil blunts against The Essentials for the bronze medal; the loser leaves empty-handed. Then two hours later the main event gets under way as Jai Chapman take on Sprinkler Kids for the lions share of the €1000 tournament prize pot. TF2Center mastermind, MasterNoob, will be joining us as well as his partner in crime the Scrap.TF giveaway guru, Geel. This will be the raffle extravaganza the likes of which have never been seen - more free viewer loot than you can shake a stick at!

despite all the awful connection issues, the ending of that first map was awesome
I really enjoyed watching the grand final. Shows that if you give any caliber of team in TF2 a nice prize pool to work for, regardless of skill level, you can get some high-quality TF2 action.
do you guys feel that the Archimedes Cup got enough exposure for comp TF2 for the amount of time and money that went into it?
It's hard to judge since the key is how well it reached people that aren't in the community, right? And mainly for Europe?
It didn't seem to register at all with the non-competitive TF2 players I know.

I think the main area where it reached out to new players was via the viewers tbh. The fact that it was linked to directly from scrap.tf and had raffles running through it meant that we got a lot more viewers than we would normally (I mean a tonne more, 1300 peak or something for d6 games?!) and I would imagine that a lot of those were new to competitive TF2 or don't normally engage with the scene.
I think the first week issues really killed the momentum, but the finals were excellent.
