so basically I'm bootcamping this week and using a PC from our sponsors which someone has played TF2 on before with their own custom hud etc. I tried to remove everything back to default, but now I get this error: http://i.imgur.com/eXTSUvK.jpg
the game also immediately crashes when I die.
I was suggested to install http://huds.tf/idhud/ but that just makes my game crash immediately.
help plz I have a final to play in a couple of hours :D

Did you try -autoconfig in launch options? That should reset everything to default.

Try verifying the game cache like this: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335
Well from the screenshot it looks like you're missing tf_english.txt (or whatever language you have it set to), which should be fixed automatically by verifying the game cache. Do you know if any of these issues were present before you tried to remove the customizations?

delete the folders "cfg" and "custom" in tf, verify your game cache, then launch tf2 with the -autoconfig parameter. Also make sure to disable steam cloud.
