Look at this early ctf_badlands release conceived for a more TFC-ish tf2:

this is actually really cool to see. but one things sticks out in my mind.
flavorwise, what would they hope to accomplish by driving a truck to the top of spire?

Balcony push. It was the fastest way to get the Medic up there.

I think someone is gonna try to ask her for the map files, while benjamoose is trying to recreate it from scratch:

I dont believe this was a early version of badlands. I believe this was early concept art for tf2 in general. I cant remember where, but i remember the person that had these screens first on their blog was talking about how it was early design plans for the art style for tf2. If you notice those smoke stacks. Theyre very out of place an almost too cartoonish. I guess they never got their design idea down until after these screens taken.

it looks cool promotionally and shit but tf2 looks amazing for an 8 yr old game because they chose such a simplistic style. Extra visual noise and detailing dates games a lot

knowing game development the map files are probably long gone :/
Shame because I know there will never be a faithful recreation
but hey at least god bless it for making spire!

I've seen it on Team Fortress 2 Classic thread and someone is already trying to make it, it looks way better than current badlands for me
