Laptop not charging

So as of today my laptop has not been charging whenever i put my charger in. It says charging when i plug my charger in but then just says " plugged in, not charging ". I've tried googling it but can't find a solution

any chance you can try the charger on another device/laptop?
would be nice if you could rule out if it's the charger, port, or battery..

try and find someone with a laptop that uses the same charger and battery. Try all these combinations

I've tried it with my brothers laptop charger, doesn't work. He's tried my laptop charger with his laptop too. Doesn't work

Tried "it"? I assume you mean you tried your laptop with your brothers charger, and your laptop still didn't charge?

And his laptop didn't charge with your charger?

If so, that is very strange and seems to indicate that you have both a bad charge (aka power supply) and possibly a bad battery or some other component on your motherboard is bad.

How old is the laptop? What kind? Still under warranty or no?

My laptop used to limit the charge at 60% to supposedly prolong the life of the battery. Does it charge up to a specific percentage and then stop or just not charge ever?

Nah it just stopped charging randomly, i found a way to fix it but i have to sit in a very uncomfortable position but i'll deal with it til it's 100

Nah it just stopped charging randomly, i found a way to fix it but i have to sit in a very uncomfortable position but i'll deal with it til it's 100
