I don't like that I have to make this thread but it had to happen eventually. I hope everyone has been enjoying our foray into promoting ourselves more and showing the world what Asia is made of. We just finished the Grand Finals of our recent tournament (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Lsw_EEhPqM) which was great and we had around 60 people watching, not bad :D

So let's get down to business. Around the end of 2014 and February 2015 AF started receiving ddos attacks and our servers had to be taken down due to threats from our host.

So fast forward to now, we've decided to move hosts and the unfortunate part is that we're short on cash to do this. I want it to be clear that Natapon has footed all the costs in the past, so it's the only reason why we'd ever ask for something like this.

We could easily do a showmatch and get some donations that way, but the issue is commitment. Now usually people just get a drive going, then do another one later, but the problem is with the host's stipulations. I'm going to sidetrack for a bit to talk about why we have to deal with these stipulations. Basically, ddos protection is expensive and this is the best compromise we could come up with.

But the stipulation is that if we suddenly can't afford the contract anymore a LOT of money has to be paid out of Natapon's pockets so we want to avoid a situation where we have to dig into his food money.

So basically we are grateful for one time donations, but we rather small consistent donations.

Okay so how much do we need per month? We ask for 50 Singapore Dollars which Google tells me is 37.55 US Dollars.

I didn't see any announcements for any AsiaFortress casts. I'd love to see how the playstyles differ and just have more high level tf2 streams available in general -- I think awareness/slight promotion on tf.tv for events would go a long way, as I don't venture outside of the NA TF2 websites. With that said, I'll throw in a few bucks

This isn't 100% relevant but I don't know if it would be possible, but why not have the asiafortress matches casted on the tftv twitch channel? It would probably help with getting more viewers and help the Asian scene grow a bit, I've seen a load of people on etf2l not even know about AsiaFortress. That in turn could maybe help with donations if people find out about a league that's closer to home for them.

Shounic, I'm sorry I can't donate due to my economical situation but, if I may suggest maybe if AF wanna be included to the TF.TV line of casts, maybe show them some clips of AF matches to the TF.TV staffs. Maybe they will consider. Remember when AF once casted on TF.TV when Mercenary CUp.. I forget when Deadly Momentum vs and again I forgot the other team. Oh well. You know what I mean. Cheers.

We have plans for what we want to do, and we've got contact with tf.tv people. They're very willing and helpful people but the issue isn't with them it's us having to get ourselves organized to present things to the world. We've never broadcasted much and considered growing seriously so we want to do it correctly and carefully this one time we begin our efforts. It'll be obvious when we get the ball rolling and we want to put our hearts into it so please just be patient for us :)
