InhakeI just think that it would have been lovely if the shooty bits were as fleshed out as the RPG bits, right? The VATS system in FO3 and NV was a nice nod to the two original games, but it covered up the fact that shooting manually just felt weird.
felt a lot better in NV with iron sights, ammo types, etc, but Skyrim had wonderful feeling combat. The animations and just general feel of how it worked far surpassed Oblivion. Fallout 3/NV felt as clunky as Oblivion. Based on that, I think this time it's going to feel a lot better.

im interested because my problem with FO3 and NV was how bland the wasteland was, this one looks much more interesting and colourful.
will keep an eye on it

waste·land
ˈwās(t)land/
noun
an unused area of land that has become barren or overgrown.
Either way, it looks great, and I really enjoy the setting. My hope is they add more music because listening to the same stations was boring, but it was some great music.

InhakeWell, looks like it's on an updated Creation engine, so the possibility that this installment will actually feel like a shooter is pretty low.
I mean, come on, they own id Tech.
With Far Cry 3, Ubisoft demonstrated that they can make a beautiful open world FPS that doesn't control like garbage. I hope with all my heart that Bethesda will take note, but what I've seen is already convincing me to spend $60 if the world and the gameplay can match what Fallout 3 had.

The trailer had a more consistent and convincing narrative than fallout 3 :/
Well, I guess I can mark that as an improvement.

I'd recommend Fallout 3 more, it's the one that got me hooked to the series in the first place. However it isn't true to the lore... or something, so if that at all bothers you I guess go for New Vegas. Either or is good, but I can't help but feel like Fallout 3 has a better post apocalyptic look; I mean it's a ruined world, but somehow beautiful at the same time. I felt like I wanted to just wander around and discover everything the world was that interesting. New Vegas didn't give me that same feeling, tbh felt a bit bland.

Gee guys, I can't wait for another Bethesda game with plot holes, continuity errors, unbalanced mediocre gameplay, innane jokes, atmosphere breakers, god awful voice acting, shitty graphics, and best of all unkillable children; It's gonna be great!
Edit: oh i forgot another thing, it had the worst ending in any game ever until mass effect 3

Wish it was released already... Should make a co-op option like with Far Cry 4. Would be fun to have a partner in crime to explore and mess around in with. lol :)

Fallout 3 was abysmal in comparison to its predecessors. Some fans of the series have a bit of loyalty to the original designers and their intentions.
Bethesda games are generally pretty, perhaps interesting visually, but that's *generally* all they've had going for them - the content is really watered down and often recycled both from previous bethesda titles and within the game itself, the stories are disjointed to allow for maximum sandbox, meanwhile the actual game systems are often fairly clunky or downright embarrassing - it's what happens when you have a company that makes games based on metrics and is run by a cabal of 10 or so lawyers.
Unfortunately most younger gamers didn't really get to experience RPGs in their heyday, so they think they're getting something good - when they're simply getting very safe, very recycled, pretty looking, content.

I don't really think you can compare Fallout 3/NV to FO 1 or 2. They're completely difference games that set out to do something totally different. That being said I agree FO3 and NV have pretty poor stories, but the sense of exploration I felt exploring the wasteland for the first time has still been unmatched all these years.
