Hey all, I made an in-depth video about how to surf damage as a Medic or any other class.
This video is aimed towards helping newer players understand the concept by giving examples of my surfs in pugs, scrims, and matches in my time of playing Medic thus far. My clips are Medic and 6s centric, but the concepts apply for any class in any format.

I am looking for criticism on this video, despite it being my second commentary to date.
I highly suggest you read the description of the video, as it discusses all of my concerns with how this video turned out, and apologies regarding my commentary as well.
Let me know what you think!

Good video, try to stay away from saying "i'm not trying to show you how good I am" after you already include the disclaimer. I also think that some of the sections have too many clips that I'd consider very similar. Ex: When you're explaining the 3 types of surfing, you should include 2-3 clips illustrating your point. Especially since your video is really long, I'd say 2 clips is plenty because the in this video the first few clips got the point across. After you finish your point, the viewer believes that you get out of a fight or cap, etc. You don't need to show me that you leave after you've told me. Most of these tips just come down to cutting time. It's a 20 min video so it might not appeal to most viewers or you might have information overload for newer players.
While the video is focused on the more generalized idea of surfing damage instead of medic surfing. I think you should have mentioned that a lot of surfing and damage taken can be avoided through positioning and by your dm classes(killing/denying jumpers etc).

Whoa, this is what I get for making a long video. I was too focused on having the video clips and the commentary sound okay. That typo is uncalled for.
Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for the input Kapow! I was also thinking of taking out some of the examples as there may have been too many, but I decided against it. I might release a second commentary that has all the clips I left out (there were maybe 5 leftover?)
I believe I didn't mention the "avoid damage at all" portion briefly in the Summary section of the video. I should've gone into more depth with that, because I do think that's vitally important!
Thanks for the criticisms guys, I appreciate it. :)

I've made an addendum to the original video!
I decided to talk about more topics that a bit more specific to give you an idea of how I think when I'm playing Medic. This addendum assumes you've watched the video in the OP, so the topics at hand are more intricate.
Read the description for details, shoutouts, and other information.

Criticism is appreciated as always.

dont get me wrong, the vid is cool and stuff, but if you want newbies to watch/ get interested why not just make quick 3 mins videos? surfing, like lots of stuff in tf2, is rocket science and does not need ultra in depth essays to be explained.
