If it was the ladder type of thing rather than a weekly scheduled thing, it would be great.
I'm in but there are like 3 solid ultiduo maps, are there other good ones that I am not aware of?
depends when the matches would be. im not particularly interested in losing scrim nights
ladder system would be cool

I think it's a cool idea but I'm not sure getting UGC involved is necessary. I'd much rather a ladder system, or even a website with a simple elo ranking system (shouldn't be too hard to do for ultiduo) that would let me play whenever a friend and I want. It would be even better if if had the option for a solo rank and a team rank. That might not be as easy to put together, but I would be far more likely to play it over a UGC league with a match every week.
to be fair joejoe that kind of system should be completely possible to work into ugc and it'll have the support of ugc's playerbase right off the bat. a standalone website would likely never succeed past the initial 'new thing hype'
look at 4v4. if it was a new website it'd probably be long forgotten by now, but ugc adopted it so there's a significant amount of people playing it every week and keeping it alive

Getting UGC involved was for the purpose of having a match or so every week along with the prospering player base. It is a very universal place for any level of competitive player to go and play. I will be taking every slice of feedback I am given into consideration though.

If it were integrated into ugc then yeah, that'd be great, but I'm not sure they want to branch out into a system like that. Maybe a better place to host it would be an already established pickup site like pugme, or tf2c (I know tf2c has plans to make ranked lobbies, ultiduo would be a great place to start with those).

Just curious who did you talk to in evlTV? I don't recall anyone saying we would cast an Ultiduo League, we did say tournaments but never committed to a league.

To elaborate further, it would be #3 on our priority list, UGC HL and ESEA 6s would still be our main focus

Jeeringsole. He said they would if it did not conflict with anything already set. Which of course I am taking into consideration when talking to the UGC admins. Thank you for the concern
kKaltUuHonestly don't believe you're doing this gamemode right by making it a league. Ultiduo is much suited as a (one night) cup.
No need to be a dick and kill everything, fucks sake kkaltuu :D. Let the guy do what he wants

A few questions:
- What would make a good match day that doesn't interfere with anything else? HL has Mondays with playoff extra matches Thursday, 6v6 has Wednesday and Saturday, 4v4 has Friday, Dota 2 has Sunday.
Since it's easier to find a time for 4 people to meet up than 8, 12, or 18, would the ideal structure be we schedule your match, then you have one week to play it and report your score, and anything unplayed gets forfeited for both teams? Kinda like our other leagues, except we won't enforce a default match time.
- What kind of roster size limit/backup rules would be needed for a 2v2 league? Roster limit of 4 players?
- What sort of map pool could we possibly do? It seems like there are only 2 Ultiduo maps that get played. (Someone earlier said 3?) Perhaps every week you do a best of 3 with the home team having tiebreaker map choice?
I don't do any of the website stuff so I don't know if adding another game format is something we can do. If it is, I want to make sure we do it the best we can.

You seem like you've thought about this a lot so I commend you. The fact of the matter is that some of these questions are easier to answer however. I want to make it clear I don't speak for UGC when I answer but in response to #2 I don't believe that holds very much weight. It wouldn't matter so much but it might be somewhere around 4 or 5 because being a leader you would only have to deal with one other human so that's not so bad. I really had hoped people would be more open to the idea of a new map every week, but yes I did mention that instead it could be done with every match playing baloo and stock (with obvious tie breaker if need be). Now match day is the hardest. Not ever person in UGC does happen to play HL and 6's and 4's and DOTA however. So, this might be a situation in which there must be a choice. I also do not see an Ultiduo match taking particularly long. It doesn't require a long period of time to play and not many people must show up to start. Sharing a day would be possible with this game mode. I really appreciate the in depth thought you've put into this. Hit me up if you have any more questions or concerns.

Someone earlier said 3?

obsidian is not finished, and not even being worked on? afaik, and wasn't good enough to be called a stable map in its last iteration
r_b7 is the original ultiduo map, baloo is good too, but the only other ones worth mentioning are maybe seclusion and possibly gullywash
all the rest are genuinely trash
