lego jurassic world came out today and it's already a daily deal. lego games never disappoint.

It's not cost effective to pay for the processing power (or whatever the bottleneck is in this case, bandwidth maybe) to support a server load that only ever occurs 0.2% of the time. Server "power" is usually designed to handle an average or expected number of requests, not a maximum.
I'm not an expert in infrastructure, so wouldn't know if they could necessarily offset that "power" with temporary servers, but even if they could, I doubt they lose any money at all as a result of the down time they experience.

It's an anime game with a pretty shitty cliche anime story but the gameplay is actually pretty cool if you're into SRPGs.

Pubbing in DoD 1.3 is pretty much a joke. There are only a few servers worth joining, most of them being filled with mods and/or bots. Trying to find 12 mans is pretty much impossible. I think nineteeneleven used to do pugs years ago with former dod invite players, but that website seems pretty inactive now.

Pubbing in DoDS is fine for the most part. You'll still run into a decent amount of servers that run realism mods and other crap, but there's quite a few mod-free servers. It should be easier to find 12 mans in DoDS, but not by much.

All things considered, both games are incredibly fun.

Just to let you know, if you buy the GTA V + Shark card bundle, you can't refund it.

Also there are several games that had their price raised before the sale started. Check the Steam Spy twitter, it has some tweets about games that went up in price just before the sale hit.

DeadCore is only 2.50 right now.

It's a twitch fps speedrun defrag type game. Really satisfying to beat. Highly recommend it to anyone who likes jump/surf maps.

If you're someone trying to avoid buying a whole lot on Steam for whatever reasons/fears you may have, you should check out the tail-end of GoG's summer sale. Got quite a few amazing games for slick deals, some games that are on Steam have even better deals on GoG too.

Castle crashers is $1.69 Canadian (probably $1 American). Definitely worth that little

I'm looking at Metro Last Light redux, but sadly there are still some bugs and extra DLC stuff to be bought that are deterring me from buying it.

That said, I like the Cookie Clicker minigame but I think the stretch goals are a bit pointless. Maybe if it had a stretch goal of bought games / spent money (like the DOTA2 fund raiser is doing atm) it would encourage people to do stuff.
