Herr_PZestyYou're never going to get fairer ping for NA players on the west coast, the country they live in is too big. Where do ascent live? I think Dallas servers would probably be most fair from an east-west perspective but Ascent might live way further north than that in which case idk Chicago would be marginally better than NY?

We're trying to improve on it actually, since the EU map was a total roll. Having 2 players on NA with 200 ping, 4 players with 100 and everyone from EU on 20 isn't fair. Not many other options though...open to suggestions!
I dunno, there probably isn't a better solution. It would be reasonable if all of our players lived in the northeast of NA (like most of nerdrage pinged the same to most/all locations). The ping discrepancies suck, but it's just a showmatch after all. As long as it brings attention to the i55 fundraisers and the i55 LAN itself, everyone is content.

I get a decent ping to chicago servers tbh (I would call 110 ping to a server that far a decent ping) . Pretty much every server on east coast I ping in the range of 90-130, some servers I ping 90 which is pretty great as soldier, but even 130 is playable on hitscan classes.

Why are you talking about changing the NA server? It's good for the fundraisers if it goes to three maps.
AMS and Shadowburn will get shit ping on any US server, so if you try and play all the maps on NY it will probably finish after 2 maps.
NY-EU-NY is the way to go.

Froyo are a better team in most people's eyes and thus a lot more people are willing to donate for them (that's why they reached their goal even without a showmatch). And another reason being that if they lost to a European team, it might not convince some American players who're not so into the scene to donate. Because they're deemed as the best team in the world.
