This happened to bman last night. It happens when you are coming out of the door as they cap. SO it involuntarily closes. He got vaulted up in the air in the same way. It was pretty funny to see. Not good to die or get stuck though.

why does the door open downwards anyway? :p

Reminds me of the RED spawn on Dustbowl 1. That garage door opens the proper way by shifting upwards, but if you're directly above the door on the 'sniper deck' when it opens, you'll get raised into the air because the door retains collision but turns invisible.

Hey guys, the door opens downward because if it opened up top you would see a massive door popping out of the roof. Downward, it goes into the floor and is never seen. However, you have caught a bit of a rare problem with having a door that comes up from the floor.
There are a couple of ways to fix this, but they involve making a more complicated door that involves both an invisible door entity (which is exactly the same as the door I have now, but it opens upward and it is not rendered) and a prop door that animates when players step into the trigger that opens the door, and then animates again when it closes. I don't generally tend to like using prop doors as they are kind of finicky, they don't match up well with rockets and gunshots (you aim at the prop, but you end up hitting the invisible door instead because the prop is always nonsolid), and finally they aren't as customizable (one size fits all sort of deal). However, in this situation I'll probably make the change for the next version of the map.
