It's free, so there's no reason to not sign up really. The worse that could happen is you get the chance to play higher level players. Even if you lose, it can still be a good experience.

Any chance the wednesday cups could start a bit later (1-2 hours)? Would really like to play these but people can't get home from work in time.

I am being asked by some to start EU Wednesday 1 hour earlier and by others to start 1 hour later. I can't get a grasp on what is most desired. I have already reduced timing between bracket rounds by 20 minutes. Anyone care to weigh in?

I believe as it currently is we start at 18 CET. If I push it back by 1 hour (19 CET) we can better accommodate for standard WET work hours. But that makes the end time a bit later.

I think with the 20 minute reduction between bracket rounds we should be alright to push back start time by an hour.

18 cet is 17 gmt (uk, portugal etc) so its already pretty early for us. My team is free tomorrow since we're mostly on holidays but for people who work, 17 is kinda early so it wouldnt hurt to be 1 hour later, but beware if you push it 1 hour later it might finish really late for people in russia etc... Definitely not 1 hour earlier tho, that would be 16 for us.

The reasoning for pushing it back is that only 2 teams are affected by the final being late, and they're both dedicated anyway. They're so close to winning it wouldn't make sense to back out then, and nobody will avoid signing up on the chance they make it to the final. Whereas if it starts too early people just can't make it, and it affects 96 people.

not sure if you've gotten any complaints in NA for time issues on wednesday, but I know nothing before ~7est works for a lot of people, including me, because of work :/ then again, this could conflict with people wanting to scrim with their regular team then, so maybe another weekend day would allow more people to signup.

Can we please get some seeding for the tournaments? The EU one starting just now has the majority of the best teams in one side of the bracket which mostly ruins the final of the tournament. It doesn't need to be 100% perfect seeding, but contacting one of the leaders for a very rough seed list would improve the tournament.

Right now the seeding is automated by the platform. I do not try to manually seed, because I do not know the teams.

Really discourages lower teams to signup. They have to rush home from school/work and get their shit sorted to get fucked in 5 minutes and be out.

Also theres a command, I'm not sure what it is (maybe someone can fill in for me) that prevents friendly players pushing each other around when they make contact. It's enabled on all eu competitive games and would be nice to have it in these cups.

The current schedule is really too early. It could easily be made 1-2 hours later, I think a 19:30CEST start is perfectly fine. This gives people time to get home from work and will mean you only play late if you make it to the finals. Random seeding isn't great but I assume this won't be used in the future, so I won't stress that point too much. Moving the schedule back should increase signups too, since 19:30CEST is only 30mins earlier than normal practise time for Europe.

The start times is just too early / inconvenient. I'd be more than happy to play in these in place of a night of scrims per week - at least during the offseason. As it stands kinda hard to work with.

Our team is either the most unlucky team in the world or we deserve an award for testing the razer plugin so thoroughly.

As the last cup, everything was amazing except for the pause issue we had, quite strange we couldn't pause after our med crashed, we lost like 5 mins, not like it would have made a difference in the outcome but it definitely changed the pace of a game that had been very interesting up to that point.

Seems like a very urgent issue to be able to pause in game. Other than that the servers are amazing, good pings, no choke or packet loss at all, probably the best server I have played in a long time.

You clearly deserve an award. Your team has come across some of the most unfortunate bugs in the mod.

Just checked, this command is enforced by ETF2L configs so either you're executing an incorrect or outdated config on your servers, or there is some sort of overriding command on your servers.

It also seems there are some other commands which aren't working as well, including mp_match_end_at_timelimit 1 and sv_pausable 1 which explains the problems experienced in the golden cap that Kaneco and Sideshow mentioned and the pause issues.

I just want to say thanks to Dilusive for all the work you've done for this so far. It's really given me a new respect for Razer to see how committed you guys are to being responsive and working with the community to create the best service you can, especially for a relatively smaller game you aren't that familiar with. Next time I'm looking for a new mouse, I promise I'll look at you guys first :)

I haven't been able to keep up with all the tf2 happenings lately, but truktruk told me to join the Razer team for this thing and yesterday was able to play in a match. The format is really cool for these I think. Sure it's going to be hard to get some wins against certain teams that register, but it looked like to me even with only like 10 teams or so that there were varying skill levels among them. Matches are always going to be more fun and better practice and better experience than scrims, so I think most teams should be taking advantage of this. The website automation stuff went very smoothly as well.

Wow that reads like a blogger or someone that was paid to review something but I was just genuinely impressed with the format and had some fun so yeah. Go play in it~
