there is almost nothing in this universe that would make me download that garbage origin client...not even one of my favorite games of all time

you clearly don't like BF1942 as much as you say.
and while I will admit Origin has it's problems, I couldn't care less about them, because all I'm using the client for is to launch a game. That means starting up Origin and clicking a button...

I thought everyone would be optimistic about it being free. So what if it's origin? Origin hasn't been problematic for me at all yet(And I've had it for a little over a year now) :P And besides, the game isn't graphic intensive and fun at the same time, I would expect a bunch of people to hop on and get this offer.
