ObiThe thing is no one wants to give it to b4nny, but theres no doubt he licked ass
where do you come from that licking someones ass is the dominant position

Lots of solid candidates but b4nny with his smart play/calling takes it for me man.

MVP!!!!!!
People were just hype from the upper finals Zebbo airshots, its fine. Banny has had crushing stats all around though

MVP!!!!!!
Those stats dont really do him justice, at least for viaduct. He was single handedly forcing shade every time despite his high death count, which is to be expected if you're the one suiciding for a force every time

zebbo is not playing well in GF especially in comparison to yesterday
yes he's getting some forces out but that's not enough to be considered MVP of the entire tournament

i mean if it can be someone not in the finals, i dont think mike has had a single game that he wasnt really really good on

This might be controversial but i think zebbosai was really desperate last game, i think he was putting all his faith on bombing and wasn't really thinking about froyo formation

I know people are hyping zebbo, and obviously b4nny and cw are putting up insane games, but duwatna has been doing a fantastic job of getting fat damage and staying alive in every circumstance, even protecting shade with pipes when b4nny jumps away.
His play has never been as flashy as EU demos/Bdonski but I would definitely keep him in mind when voting.

no chance anyone but zebbo gets this

I voted for b4nny but to play devil's advocate, I think there's some merit in the thinking that beating Froyo in a series is more impressive than winning while playing for Froyo given how stacked they are. Opening the vote before the grand finals was silly though.

Please don't give this shit to Zebbosai. You guys know better.

So torn up between Mike, B4nny, Blaze and Clock... All consistently fantastic throughout the event.
I guess I'll vote B4nny for the calling factor.

People think that winning = easy MVP? We came 4th and I got best pocket + mvp at i49 go figure l0l (over someone like mike who WON the event, and was more consistent - i had more 'flashy' moments maybe).
b4nny seemed to be extremely consistent, though. Zebbo had some super flashy games which a lot of people remember over consistency. I feel both are equally worthy for MVP, but for different reasons.
Special mentions to cw and especially steve; you definitely stepped it up this LAN when it mattered. good job meight
EDIT: another honourable mention to my man prime ryb. You did some kaidus-esque aggressive plays at times and got yourself out of some incredibly dicey situations. You always looked quite calm and collected. good work sir!
EDIT2: mike because mike

No merits to medics like Shade (who managed to escape so many times from difficult situation, saving tons and tons of round) or KnOxXx (who also died a few times and managed to bring [R] to the LBF even after terrible defeats just a few hours before)?
P.S. I'm quite disappointed i can't vote to give those 500$ to the production crew, the real MVTeam of i55 that arrived at the lan and put up a fantastic work. Unlike the teams they didn't even reach the goal of the fundraising.

Zebo, Mike and Tek all hit some outrageous airshots that are certainly worthy of flashy highlights. But their overall value for their respective teams, reflected through all of the stats, and the plays and (inevitably) the final placements of the tournament, is less than those of b4nny's. Not a single player at i55 had the same consistent level of impact that he had - huge damage, good ubers, favourable trades and impeccable leadership through comms and plays alike.
A few people (on marketplace.tf and perhaps here) seem to have reluctance to give credit to froyotech members because of their personalities. I personally think that whatever distasteful action the player do in real life is irrelevant in consideration of his worth towards his team.

Because we're voting for the "most valuable player", not the "best player". There's a difference.

Zebbo pretty much saved his team from going down to the lower brackets and you say he doesn't deserve the MVP award because of the bad K/D he had in grand final games?

im pretty sure banny is also a major reason his team came up from lower brackets...and then won the tournament

18 votes, wow what a disgrace, I don't think people have a clue how much of an impact Mike was having in all of Reason games. He was keeping up or even outdoing b4nny in terms of dpm through the whole tournament, even with his team being shaken hard in the group stage, his team placed second to last on groups and he still top damaged overall on 4/5 maps as a fuckin ROAMER,now THAT is impressive. It's actually insane to do this at such a high level on roamer, his deathmatch is on another level compared to any of the soldiers in the tournament.
I looked through the logs and this is what I came up from him, apologize if theres any mistake
Groups
- team top dmg 5/5
- overall top dmg 4/5
- team top kills 3/5
- overall top kills 3/5
Playoffs
- team top dmg 8/12
- overall top dmg 6/12
- team top kills 3/12
- overall top kills 2/12
I can only imagine what could have happened with a KnoxXx + Mike combo, which to me is the strongest overall combo in tf2 history.

My god Starkie did so good. I never expected Stark doing so well against Clockwork.
Stark.

idk if he's the #1 MVP, but ma3la should be worthy of consideration. He switched from roamer to pocket after day 1 and consistently put up huge damage and frags, while maincalling. He was without a doubt the driving factor behind Ascent's comeback on day 2, and I think that's a pretty impressive accomplishment considering that Ascent were down in the lower bracket already at the end of day 1.
