Got from OC.net deals page, I think it's a pretty good deal for those who are interested in a mech keyboard with red switches.

I don't know about build quality of rosewill keyboards, but you're right, seems like they have poor QC

apparently they've fixed the usb issue, so there should be far less of that.

they keyboard itself is fine, but the usb connector in the back of the keyboard is not the greatest quality and i wouldn't be suprised if i broke it by accident in the near future

with that said i'd say this is probably worth 55 bucks, still probably better off saving up for a leopold though

USB issue has been fixed, confirmed (they just put a super glue under the connector, so it won't detach easily anymore). Apparenly everything is the same as Filco's but the USB connector. Also, $55 for reds is a very good deal since they rarely goes on sale, I won't pick these just because I'm saving for a TKL + backlit which would unfortunately cost 3 times more

They feel like crap compared to a Filco. I don't believe for a second that they're even remotely similar, much less identical.

bought one on black friday, 1/2 the keys don't work on arrival.

USB issue not fixed I'm guessing.

It's been confirmed that the components used to make both are the same.

I've had this keyboard for about 6 months now, and I haven't had any problems at all. The keys all work great, and it seems to be of good quality overall. I haven't had any problems with the USB connector either.

Granted, I've never had a higher quality keyboard. From what I've heard, other brands are better, but $55 is a good deal on this.

They changed their manufacturing process early this year, but it takes time for stockpiled inventory to move. RMA that shit. Get one that works.

I absolutely love this keyboard, granted it's the first mech keyboard I have owned and I purchased it during a summer sale. Still, no issues yet and it's far more comfortable than any other keyboard I have used.

I've no doubt some of the components are the same. However, the PCB is different. The housing is different. The soldering is different. The stabilizers are different. The connector cable is different. Rosewill boards are noticeably lighter than Filco boards.

Filco and Rosewill boards are both made by Costar, who also makes Das and Ducky boards. Being produced in the same factory doesn't mean they're the same.

Please understand that I'm not trying to say Rosewill keyboards are garbage. When they're under $80, they're definitely a cost-effective way to get into mechanical keyboards.

I just don't like the feel of them compared to a Filco MJ2 or Leopold.
