Should be a pretty entertaining roll by froyo
We've already seen what froyotech can do, having recently earned themselves another intercontinental title against the best teams in the world... but can they stand up to a ragged team of celebrities? In the style of the legendary Communities vs. Pros events organized in times long gone, nine prominent TF2 YouTubers (including the likes of King Raja and Muselk) have challenged the current world champions to a duel for glory and fame. Join mathsad, BUICK, and Sideshow as they guide us through our three maps of Badlands, Badwater, and Gravel Pit which will be the battlegrounds for this historical showdown.
Is it a BO3 or do they just play 3 maps? I want to see gpit
Historically the 6s teams have won 2-1. Can the Youtubers do better than the pubstars?!
Isn't it a better idea to save this for Tip of the Hats?
Or are you using it to build hype for the event?

All three maps will be played by ETF2L rules and with no whitelist regardless of result.

This is separately organized and unrelated.

I missed these events so much. Some of you tftv regulars may remember stapler (http://www.teamfortress.tv/15023) from a while back. He's gotten fairly large on youtube under the alias raja to the point where he can actually promote tftv. Pretty crazy, imo.
Regardless, I'm pretty freaking pumped about this.

Funke actually plays comp, had no idea he was a youtuber.
Guess this is another reason this isn't called Pubstars vs. Pros.

Hey everyone,
King Raja/Stapler here, I wanted to start off by thanking all of you at tf.tv for helping me get my first start on YouTube all the way early 2014. From that year to now, i've crossed great lengths and somehow managed to make a name for myself as a self proclaimed Indian king. I had always felt like I owed something back to the community for the kindness and love you showed me and the only idea I had in order to to give back is try to use all the connections I have made to popular YouTubers/comp pros over my time on YouTube and put on a fun show match and promote the crap out of tf.tv. I personally have not gotten deep into comp but I have a lot of comp friends and I love everyone's dedication to the culture of comp TF2 and I think it's going to be a great time bringing our pub audience to you guys and seeing what can be accomplished with a bigger following.
I realize that with this lineup, we are ofc missing everyone's favorite STAR_ and Jerma but these two are not accessible by most of us and i'm sure they're busy with their own projects and life. Instead, I managed to get together my friends who range from small, growing channels to one of the top TF2 content channels on YouTube. I think it's going to be a great time and I hope you guys enjoy watching YouTube vs. Froyotech, haha.

SentinelSo anyone with a YouTube account and 500 views is a "youtuber"?
Good one
Actually Retro has over 4,500, I couldn't find anything about Jimmie, but the rest of these guys have anywhere from 30,000+ subs to 383,000+ subs.
Good one though.

Obviously, I wasn't referring to Muselk (or Arrayseven / Uncle Dane) they're pretty noteworthy. Jimmie has 165, Retro has 4k and all the others have around 30k. Not trying to be disrespectful towards the effort these people probably put into their channels, I was just saying that they aren't the famous "mainstream" youtubers you think of when someone says "tf2 youtubers". Hell, i watch a lot of crap on youtube and i haven't even heard of half of them. My point was, that these guys are the equivalent of getting b4nny + 5 random IM players as the "pros" team. Sure, it's technically a "pro" team since they'd all be comp players but its not the pro team that first comes to mind (the top etf2l or esea teams). Damn, explaining jokes sure kills them.
Anyway imma stop right here before i start sounding like an annoying cunt that cant appreciate a community event.

It's worse than europing, it's the dreaded australian ping. The one time Muselk casted the ultiduo tournament, he had 250+ ping to LA. The event server is in Chicago.

The stereotypical uninformed 6s bashing player (as in, if he would have made any attempts to read the recent ETF2L sixes whitelists) you'd see on YouTube. Heck, even one of his videos are about why highlander is objectively better than sixes.
