Hello so recently I have been getting really awful fps on my PC, now I know my PC isnt the best but its decent to run most games besides TF2.
Please give ideas on how I could get more fps on my computer. I already do have an fps config "r4ndom_graphical" and I dont run programs in the background while using tf2 besides skype sometimes.
Thanks hopefully someone could help :)

I cant overclock it.. its a locked cpu.

How would I go about increasing the fequency?

you've got a very weak graphics card, this would cause an effect similar to input latency. I suggest changing these values in the config.
mat_viewportscale 0.5
mat_viewportupscale 1
make sure to step down your resolution beforehand (not sure why everyone is talking about cpu's, Seiter's cpu is much faster than mine)

Doesn't viewportscale have no effect on fps?

BCLK isn't FSB. It's also tied to PCIe so any significant overclock and you're getting stability issues. For a 5% overclock best case it isn't worth the trouble.
Depending on the motherboard you might be able to force the max turbo multiplier on all cores at all times.

HerganDoesn't viewportscale have no effect on fps?
It does if you have a very weak GPU. Viewport scaling was a necessity back when I was using HP Pavilions default card.

Did you turn off the recording function in the xbox app? It makes v-sync always on, which hurts fps quite a bit.
